Day - Tuesday, April 5
Today was AK day - my wife's favorite park. Got breakfast from Roaring Forks again, and got to the busstop a little after 9:30 - just as the bus arrived - nice! Went right for the fast pass on Kiliminjaro Safari's, got a drink, and walked the Pangani Exploration trail (first time). Did the Safari, (got a cool hat) and ate lunch at the Tusker House - a favorite of ours. We went out and watch a drum/dance show in the restaurants porch area, then got a fast pass for Kali Rapids. Went to Dinoland (which we had not gotten to last trip) and rode Triceratops spin, then went and saw Tarzan Rocks! - which was cool.
The AK is always so hot, and we were starting to drag, but we got on our way to Kali. Gotta love that fast pass! Walked right on and that got the adrenaline back! We got soaked, but it got us all up again and ready for more. We went to It's a Bug's Life - which was good - shopped some and headed out a little before the parade started.
Got back to the room for some chilling and swimming - got dinner at Roaring Forks - and decided to go to Fantasmic. While waiting for the bus, we realized the show was going to start in less than an hour (it was 7:30 and the show was at 8:30, and decided there'd be no way we'd get in), so we took the bus to EPCOT for Illuminations (another first!). We got there at dusk and walked around, looking at the lights and fountains - very nice. We hadn't made it to this park before. We got good seats for Illuminations and watched the show - which was great. Got out of the park as soon as it ended and got right on a bus for the hotel. Kind of tired, but a great day.
Tomorrow is back to EPCOT!
