Can someone tell me if the park hopper passes are now like the AP pass in that you finger scan to use?

That's how our 8 day hopper was when we were just there in late Sept/early Oct!

You put the park hopper in the ticket turnstile, and then your fingers (or, I think, 1 finger now?) and the computer links the bio-scan of your tingers to the pass. I never had an AP, but I'm guessing it's the same for all multi-day tickets.

I guess this now means I have to make sure I remember who has which pass.

Usually I hold all the passes. When we got to the turnstile I handed out the passes, I went first, and as DH & the kids came thru I confiscated their passes.

Now I have to remember who has Minnie Mouse, who has Donald, etc.

I can guarantee you we WILL be the family that holds up the line.

oh no, it will be us... 6 kids... 3 adults, 2 strollers.... I don't even want to think of this part!

I also am the one to hold all the tickets. It's not near as bad as you think it will be. Just make sure that you don't wait until the last minute when you're in line to hand them out. You won't need to hold anyone up. :thumbsup2

Take a permanent marker and write the name on each ticket, also make a mark for each day used; no more confusion about how many days left if you plan for a ticket to last more than one trip.

Wow - when I went last there was no finger scan. How does the computer scan knows its you - when you check in at your resort they must do it then? So everyone who is receiving a pass must be a the check in counter? So there are turnstiles to go through and security now - it must take forever to get through especially w/ kids!

No it does not happen at check in. The first time you use your ticket at a park your finger is scanned. From then on, your finger scan will only work with that particular ticket.

Security is set up before you reach the turnstiles to enter the parks. Any bag or stroller entering the park goes through security. If you want to enter quickly, travel to the parks without any backpacks, fanny packs, etc. Going through security isn't all that bad though.

Thanks for the info. I wish we could go thru security w/o backpacks/fanny packs - with 3 kids I don't think that will be happening! But we will cut down on the clutter we bring in. Thanks for the tip :thumbsup2 .
