8:55PM Park Fare??

The hours say that the restaurant closes at 9. I'm assuming they wouldn't kick me out after 5 minutes (lol), but is it even worth going that late? I'm gonna keep trying for an earlier time, but just in case I want to make sure it's not really a waste of time/money.

We had an 8.45pm and it's well worth going. Not rushed at all, plenty of character interaction and all the food was replenished regularly. I think it was about 10.30 when we left and there were still tables in use.

1) With the exception of a few "timed" meals (such as HDDR, Luau), they cannot throw you out.
2) However, once characters have visited all the tables, they are free to check-out and go home. *

* Without trying to be nasty or snide, characters work a scheduled shift. This is your vacation, but this is their job. They have private lives. They want to be able to go home to their families on-time. That is why characters do not have to stay until the last guest is finished eating. As long as each guest table has been visited, their assignment/circuit has been accomplished.

9pm would be the last reservation they take.
The restaurants do not kick guests out 5 minutes after their reservation.
The food will be hot and fresh. The characters will be happy.
Not sure why you'd think it would be a waste.
Although personally I enjoyed a late breakfast better as I really enjoyed the characters for the breakfast.

Well things worked out better. I was able to find an 8am Akershus, so I'm gonna do that instead. Which also means I can go to Ohana the night I was gonna go to Park Fare instead. Thanks for the help!

8:55pm basically means that there probably won't be many people seated AFTER you.....the "closing" times of restaurants more indicates when they will stop taking reservations and seating people.....when I worked at CRT, I think our last breakfast was at 10:20-10:30am and our first lunch was at 12....we usually had people in the dining room finishing breakfast until just a bit before lunch at least half of the time

1) Yes,
. . . they also have a scheduled work time/shift.
. . . they also want to get home on-time.
2) Yet, some guests feel they have the right to stay as long as they wish and inconvenience the employee.

NOTE:
As a Concierge, we are scheduled until 10:30pm, and the Concierge Desk is open until 10:00pm.
This gives us time to check-out the register, reconcile our accounts/charges/cash, and make our daily deposit into the safe.
Yet, I have had people in line insisting I stay long enough to accommodate their every wish.
Then, they got angry when I (politely) said I have to leave.
On some occasions, I have let the guest stand there complaining while I removed my cash drawer and walked away.
Some guests waited until the park closed, then still wanted us to work 20-30 minutes on their requests.
If they had that many requests, they should have appeared at the Concierge Desk earlier, or spoke to us during the day.
They forget that although this is their vacation, this is my job and my time.

EASY QUESTION: How would the average person feel if they had to work OT at the whim of someone else, and this would happen several times per week or month, when it could have been easily avoided?
