We have decided on the spur of the moment - after reading the great reviews here and seeing pics of the food! - that we want to have dinner at Whispering Canyon Cafe. The only night we have available is Thursday, May 25th. Unfortunately, they are already booked, and the only time they have available is 8:40. Do you think that's too late for dinner??

That day we are doing the My Disney Girl Princess Tea and goofing off the rest of the day - swimming at the resort, Downtown Disney, maybe visiting some of the other resorts. No parks, no scheduled events other than the Tea.

We are used to eating late dinners at home anyway (usually around 7:00-7:30), and I don't see being up late with our dd's a problem.

Just wondering what your opinions are!

thanks!

You are certainly the best judge of what works for your own children, so if you think it is okay, go for it. You can always give them (and yourself) some early evening snacks to tide them over until dinner.

I don't know how old your child(ren) is/are but if you have a filling breakfast (buffet maybe) have a late lunch or a snack around 4ish if you are hungry you should be ok. We ar\te there one night at almost 9:3-/10pm! It is a great place and you will have a lot of fun!!!

When we were there 2 weeks ago, there was definitely still a crowd in the restaurant when we walked past at 9:30-10:00 pm.

As long as you plan accordingly (i.e. eating a later lunch or a nice snack between lunch and dinner) I think you'll be just fine! We've done later dinners and it's never been a problem.

You should be fine. We had a late dinner at Cali Grill (9:20 PM) and everyone was fine except my DF. He had trouble sleeping because of all the food in his stomach. So if that happens to you/your kids, you might want to not do it.
