Lisa, I doubt the boy stood up to his father... seems like a wimp to me and the dad a bully! (did you see the video with sound and the stuff the father was saying right before this happened w/his son and Tigger?) I'm surprised they didn't file a civil (ie: for money) case though- they only filed a criminal case?

I figured that the kids in school were ribbing him quite a bit...I mean getting knocked out by Tigger like they were claiming? He probably got tired of that & told his dad that he didn't want to do it anymore. Plus, it was too apparrent by many that he was the one at fault trying to get under his skin somehow.

Not going to spoil anything for our west coasters, but don't miss the first singer on AI tonight, she was amazing. ;) Now to see how the other 11 girls do.

Don't want to say who she is, you can find out for yourself!!!

So, in the weird kind of synchronicity that seems to exist in the world, I present the following true story:

My oldest daughter comes home today and says that in her arts class she is going to have to make a puppet and improvise dialogue that the character she is assigned would say if being seen in a session with a psychiatrist (hey, this is Manhattan). Everyone was randomly assigned characters. So I ask her what her character is and she tells me

CAPTAIN JACK SPARROW!!!!

It's going to be very hard for me not to want to do this one with her . . .

That would be a lot of fun

Great choice in Characters ....God only knows "Jack" needs a shrink ...:lmao: :lmao:

Your welcome guys......It was a really nice day.....Water was pretty nice for that part of Mexico and it was secluded. Picture a mexican version of Castaway Cay without 1200 people. (and no chocolate cookie dough icecream)

(and no N.R. players either)

You mean kind of like this?

Or this?

He teaches Exercise Physiology and Anatomy. He, SIL and DN live in Athens. Since he finished his PhD two years ago, he (jokingly) insists we address letters to him as Dr. I guess he's trying to impress the mailman.

Ooh... that "exercise" word again. :lmao: That's a good program. A college friend of mine was in that program and has been working with cardiac arrest victims in rehabilitation. My wife's working on her PhD. We're hoping for the first "Dr" in the family. She's the type that would be embarrassed to be called "Dr", so I'm hoping to plaster it all over our stateroom door next year after graduation :lmao:

Thanks everyone!!!! You guys are awesome!!!!

Butt Kickin' Tag!

Great. I just got the mail and there is this big manila envelope from my DS school. I'm thinking it is something important about his schedule or grade. NO it is a fundraiser. Cookie Dough no less. Gee when did they start mailing this stuff home? Don't they know I have cruise to pay for.

So tired of fundraisers...magazines, pizzas, cheesecakes, candy bars, girl scout cookies, raffles :sad2:

Awww,look at the puppies!:dogdance:

Thanks! Bailey (on left) we bought from a very reputable breeder after reading "choosing a dog for dumb***es". We enjoyed having her so much I listed ourselves on the Bearded Collie Rescue and adopted Morgan last October. He was soooo timid, he'd run and hide if you just called him. The humane society had papers for him from a probable puppy mill in Missouri. Now, he's a big sweetie, except for "Not Now this very minute", in which he's been slushing around in the melting snow and needs hosed off...but at other times he's a sweetie.:rotfl:

When we first saw the footage on our evening news, our first comments were, "What is that kid DOING?" and "Where is Tigger's handler?"

I thought I had read on one of the DIS news pages that Tigger's CM had to have medical attention related to suffocation from this incident. Honestly, wouldn't that CM have a right to file charges, too? Possibly not under the Disney contract?

It's funny -- I was thinking just the opposite -- what would his psychological problems be, really? Rum dependence, I guess . . . anti-social behavior . . . unable to follow society's norms? But he's certainly not depressed or delusional -- under the definition of "a threat to himself or others" he couldn't really be seen as crazy. At any rate, she is 14 and is supposed to do this on her own, so I will be interested to see what she comes up with.

Joel--

My kids got the biggest laugh out of the doggie picture.

DS wants to know if the dogs can see under all of that hair?

You know, I did entertain that possibility, and almost asked if that was what you meant, but thought it might be too harsh . . .

Little did I know how well you know yourself!

Dearest Tag Fairy, I have to share an amazing discovery. It has become clear that receiving a tag is a magical cure for PMS. It has taken me from this :furious: (shrieking harpie) to this  (cuddly and lovable). My DH has asked me to extend his sincere gratitude to you for this dramatic turn of events. He has declared your powers "miraculous". :worship: He wishes you to know that he is a believer and he is in your debt. (Chocolates to follow!)

It's a shame she can't interview Todd...:lmao:

I cannot post here much about this, some might put two and two together, but If she felt people on the cruise knew too much she might not go in the future,

Just to say its a recurring illness and is hard for all, her but particularly the Kids to cope with and it cannot be solved in weeks or months.

Against what others have posted they have been though, is one of lifes hurdels to get over, and bounce back from. Having Andys tenacity would help.

Recurring illnesses can take quite a bit out of everyone in the family, not only those with the illness. :grouphug: to you & everyone there.

Well that's just swell. I keep my food that I purchase from Market Day down in the basement in an extra refridgerator and I just went down there to get some veggies for dinner and I found a whole unopened box of popcorn chicken sitting on top of the freezer. It has probably been there since DD cooked herself dinner last week. Nice. 15 bucks down the drain. Of course, she denies it was her.

Your chicken will go nicely with the tub of sour cream I found on the breakfast bar this morning.

Oh, so this is how it is.............I finally get all caught up................and everyone else leaves................I did get a shower today people!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

But did you have time to shave your legs?

I'm outta here for now, time for dinner. Mostaccioli, Italian Sausage, garlic bread.........
and in this house we call the other stuff "bisgetti".
