LOL! No smuggling necessary. But wait a minute!!!! This it in LA!!! YIKES! What does the CA port do with drinks????? I haven't read that here before. :confused3

I thought that the CA port was more restrictive overall.

I was just wondering that because I'd just read another post about 100lbs backpack and batteries and all that.. and I wondered if they'd allow soft sided coolers, with no ice, and drinks like they do at PC!

Then I started wondering- if the area around DL in CA is even a wet or dry county to be able to BUY drinks to bring with us to the port! :confused3

(ps. feel like I need to add that we're not really drinkers, but likewise I'm cheap and don't like the idea of spending a fortune when we DO drink. We brought wine cooler type drinks for me and beer for my DH. We came home with half his beer and more than half of my drinks- all of which are still in my fridge btw. That's since June... still there. Well my drinks are still there, DH drank his beer ofcouse LOL)

We usually pack Corona for DH, water bottles for excursions, juice bags for the kids, & maybe a few sodas. Will have to see what happens in May.

We already pack too much and wouldn't want to put drinks on checked luggage- so we would need to buy it while in CA before going to the port. If the port will even allow us to bring drinks along! :scared1:

As for the subway/metro.. first I'd have to explain to her what a subway is. :rotfl:

Oh not good.
We need to peruse trip reports from the last CA cruises and see what people might have said about bringing drinks along...

Well, it looks like the thread is down for the night. Catch ya'll in the am!

And below is the winning 20,000th posting...

Mary Poppins :goodvibes

It was the first Disney movie that I saw in a theatre. My grandmother took my sister and I on the High Speed Line from NJ over to Philadelphia. I was 9 years old at the time(1964). We saw the movie, then went and did some Christmas shopping and had dinner in the city. That was also my first trip into Philadelphia.

Everytime I watch Mary Poppins I think of my Gram, and how much I miss her, she passed in 1995. :sad1: OK, where is the box of tissues?

I hope it's not too late to offer you some....

hehehe.....I think there'd be a mutiny and succession from the Union if any part of CA were dry....in fact, I'd bet that most Californians don't even know what that even means....so you're safe buying....now as to what the port will allow, don't kow....definitely something to research.

Wow, there was an entire hour of no posts after my last post! Talk about thread killer! hehe

Well that's good to hear about CA not being dry in any areas... but still have to find out if we can bring the drinks on before buying them. I would hate even more to buy it and then be refused to bring it on the ship!

The thing is DCL in PC says it's not allowed, yet they allow it. So it's not like you can call them up and say hey, can we bring drinks on in Ca same as PC? Because their "official" word on this is no in PC anyway...
:confused3

Eat beans, that should give you gas!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

This is just the sort of nonsense that triggers congressional hearings on public indecentcy and such....

So - here's another image to spread it a little thicker...

I hope this is not overkill for bandwidth demands...
If anyone has difficulty with loading this PAGE then PM me so I now to be a little more careful next time...

The images I'm posting seemed worth the risk in sharing..
