You will definitely have to give me a lava pizza lesson on the cruise. I always end up with that awful burn on the roof of my mouth.

Oh...that reminds me...I'm supposed to be making pizza to feed hubby & the kids when they come in from the snow.

Yes, need to log off and go make dinner. Try not to get to 21K while I am making dinner. I'm only making fried chicken, not Peking Duck.

Favorite Disney Movie: Alice in Wonderland - I just like Alice, both the book and the movie. Disney did a great job capturing the feel of Wonderland.

Well, I made it both to and from the office through the blizzard today. Fortunately I only live about 15 minutes away - so it only took about 45 minutes today! The roads were a mess, but most everyone was driving slow and careful. This was one of the time when being part of the family business was a bummer. My parents are out of town (supposed to be flying in tonight :confused3 ) so I HAD to go in to hold down the fort since there isn't anyone else to do it. Of course, there are advantages also since I am usually very flexible and can leave to take DS to his lessons and such.

DS7 had a snow day today, but DH was able to work from home so at least I didn't have to drag him into the office with me! Since he was off school, we didn't have to figure out how to do "mismatch day" with his dull, blue/brown/beige wardrobe. :thumbsup2 DS is actually very consious of the color, style, etc of his clothes - he isn't into 'fashion' but is more interested in how colors and shapes go together. I think it relates back to the art thing - art is his passion (viewing and creating)!

Hi Everyone,
I've been enjoying this thread sooo much - you are all such a great group of people - I'm delighted that we are on the cruise with you.

It's time for me to join the fray -
there will be 4 of us - DH - Paul, me - Chris, DD - Lori, her son DGS 7yrs at cruise time. The rest of our family cannot join due to conflicting schedules. Paul missed our 12/05 cruise and is quite happy that this is a "pirate driven" cruise - he is already researching his costume. Lori & I will just repeat 2005!!
Don't know how frequently I will be able to post - however - to all those w/B'days - Happy Birthday, to those ill/recuperating - my thoughts are with you - feel better ASAP. Oh, to those of you facing snow, etc. please take care and keep warm.
Cheers - Chris:flower3:

 Welcome! Welcome! Welcome!

I've been away a few days...sick. Must have caught a little of what BBB was slinging! Went to the doctor yeterday and it seems I have what he calls "Bronchial Sinusitis". In other words, I'm coughing up a lot of c**p! He gave me a second dose of stronger antibiotics, says it'll kill anthrax  Anyways, guess I'll have to go back to work tomorrow. Been kinda nice being home.

p.s. As you can see, I still haven't figured out this banner thing yet!!

:wizard: hope you are 100% better soon!:wizard:

Welcome home Andy.

Don't get caught reading and replying this time. I think this pirate: is going to be yours this time.

LOL!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I just now got to read your post, about 90 minutes after you posted it and I still have a lot of catching up to do!!! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

No no no! I was slinging allergy sneezes- noncontagious allergy sneezes... no coughing/no bronchial stuff, nada.
I'm so sorry you're sick though. :( Mine is just a plain old allergy attack. I'm still sneezing and feel stuffed up (but no boogers- just sinuses feel stuffy about to explode or something- which really doesn't help my constant lingering "almost headache could turn into migraine any minute") but I don't feel nearly as bad as all you guys obviously do! :(
I hope you get well soon!

Another Texan amongst us!
If you're a Leo also... this cruise is in trouble.
Just kidding! (I'm a leo, so I'm not making fun of Leos)

BTW- what's the **** in your sig line? Inquiring minds want to know!

From one Leo to another, Stephanie is on the "Cusp." :grouphug: If you notice in my signature, I want to be the Fairy Godmother at WDW.:cloud9: I am ex-castmember for the Disney Store.:rolleyes1

I don't know what you mean about your sig line- I don't see anything about fairygodmother there?

Not sure what you mean about Stephanie being on the cusp either. I'm all confused. :confused3

I like it...!

I was taking one last scan through before I hit the road...

... traffic and endless traffic for me in the next 90 minutes to get to this meeting...

Name your favorite Disney movie and tell why you like it.

Mary Poppins :goodvibes

It was the first Disney movie that I saw in a theatre. My grandmother took my sister and I on the High Speed Line from NJ over to Philadelphia. I was 9 years old at the time(1964). We saw the movie, then went and did some Christmas shopping and had dinner in the city. That was also my first trip into Philadelphia.

Everytime I watch Mary Poppins I think of my Gram, and how much I miss her, she passed in 1995. :sad1: OK, where is the box of tissues?

So here's a question to wile away the time between pirates:

If the story of your life was made into a Hollywood movie, who would play you? Go ahead and cast the rest of your family too if you are so inspired.

Keep in mind that the actor doesn't necessarily need to look like you. They just need your 'vibe' & be able to convey their 'you-ness' to the world.

I would be played by Bugs Bunny.... My spouse (er, wench) would be played by none other than Jessica Rabbit, the kids get to play any rotating role that pleases them with stunt doubles slipping in - IE, they play Cameos... and the villans... That will take some consideration - I gues the lead role should go to Elmer Fudd... and his henchmen will be fleshed out with likes of Sneeve, The Tasmanian devil and Cruella De-Vile as HIS wench. ... and let me see... any more.... hmm..... I can't think of anymore right now - but how is that???

See ya later on the nite shift!

Congrats on the Pirate Wenches!!!!!!!!!

Hope everyone here in the NE is staying warm. So far we have NO SNOW!!!! They have dropped the prediction for the city down to 1-3 inches, but we ususally get a little more than what the call for in the "city" .

I'm really hoping it stays away.....My boss wants me in early tomorrow to give a training class at 8:30. Whos brilliant idea it was to schedule this on the AM of a snowstorm is beyond me. When most of our employees will be calling in either late/or for a personal day......and guess what the training class most likely will be cancelled and I've driven myself nuts making arrangements to get the kids taken care of in the AM so I could go in early for nothing.

That's sweet! My first trip to Radio City was with my grandparents, a memory I'll treasure forever!
