8/17/08 Captain Jack's Repossession Repo Cruise to PC thru TPC Part 16

Allergic? Maybe you had it on too tight and it was cutting off his circulation! I was going to try the towel thing myself,but couldn't get him to hold still long enough to put it on.

Oops...I must have said it wrong. In the last couple of months, this dog has managed to....1. Mess with a poisonous toad that made him swell up and foam at the mouth
and...2. Twice now, it seems that either something bit him or he ate something (outside) that he shouldn't have, because his face, mouth and nose have swollen up, he itches, can't breathe, and throws up.

It just so happened that whatever it is that has bitten him, or whatever he has found to chew on, or inhale, that makes him swell all up and sick...he managed to do it while he had the collar thing on. We'd been checking the collar and it wasn't too tight. Even after he puffed up, it still wasn't too tight, but we took it off because he needed (badly) to itch his face. So did I help make that a little more clear? Honest, I'd hate for anyone to think that either we or the vet's office were choking the poor guy!

Sorry...double post. Been having computer problems and have (I think) figured out what's wrong...and it has to do with the new WiFi that we installed, but since I can't crawl under the desk or get behind in right now, I can't fix it.
And that frustrates me to no end. I hate KNOWING there's something that needs fixing and not being able to do it.

All the pics are great! You look so beautiful in the last one! It's so nice that you & your family are so athletic! I wish this family of couch potatoes would get out & move, but it just seems like so much work!

Speaking of work...the Indians sure worked the Sox over last night! That was painful to watch!!! Sad thing is I stayed up till after 1am to watch us get pounded!

I think we get out and move out of self defense. DH & I both get really grumpy if we go more than a week without working out.

I missed the good parts of the game. At about 11, I took my contacts out knowing that I would fall asleep at any time. I watched the rest of the game by waking up and watching an at-bat or two every half hour or so!

I know he's on the dark side now, but it is hard to not like Manny Ramirez. He just always looks like he is having the time of his life. My brother's friend was the Indians clubhouse boy in high school and Manny used to lend this 16-year-old kid his Corvette when they went on road trips. DB's friend used to pull into our driveway in Manny's car. How crazy is that???

Actually, anyone can get that price. It's for a category 12 with no insurance and no transfers. Disney's site defaults to including both. Once you take them off, that's the price you get.

I was able to pull it up on DU's site. The final quote, after taxes and fees, was $1308. Cat 12,2 adults. Couldn't get a hold of DBIL quick enough to get plane fare,had to let it go. They needed the entire amount by 5pm Eastern yesterday. Didn't want to max out the card and then have no way to get there. Suppose I could have moved it to the TOAL.

Just dropping by before the rugby (Surely the final will be against S.Africa, but need to check). We survived DDs sleepover (just), but I'm tired even if the girls aren't - they were playing hide & seek at 0215 until I threw then back into their cell!

Wouldn't you love to have just 1/4 of their energy!

Oh no Stacey, I would never accuse or even think that you wouldn't care for you furr baby as much as I do Harley. Speaking of Harley and eating things he shouldn't....I found a half eaten toad stool/mushroom on the back stoop earlier in the week. This was after he had thrown up and wimpered most of the day before. I immediately scoured the yard looking for more. And he's also decided to nibble on the railroad ties that we have along the fence, now when he tosses his cookies,I find bits of wood. At this rate,he'll be lucky to see 9 months.

That trip - which BTW, I'm still on about - I haven't come down all the way yet - I'm hoping that will wave her on me until my next cruise - I took over 6000 pictures. I had bought 7 photo albums that holds 500 4 x 6 pictures thinking that would be enough - after just putting in 2 days of my vacation - turns out I may need 3 more. What was I thinking! Anyway, watch out - it creeps up on you!

That's why I invested about $100 on a DVD authoring program and watch them on DVD now.

Oh - and just to let you all know, in case no one has started it yet - today there is officially only 72 days until Christmas day! 71 if you all open them on Christmas Eve.

I would just like to say that I have finally started some of my shopping. Not much - usually except for the last 2 years am done by mid Oct!!!

OMG you people are killing me!!! I'm one of those people that are out the last few days before Christmas wondering why I can't find anything decent! And airfare? Fahgetaboutit!

Had to fix my Siggy.............Needed to remove the Carnival Destiny cruise we were supposed to be on startin today.........Ohh well.......Only soooo much money to go around...........needed it for the TOAL !!!

I think Manny gets a lot of flack around here, because he always has one foot out the door. Everyone knows he's wanted out of the Sox for the last few years. But no one can deny that he's one of the main reasons the Sox have done so well.
