HI,
We have a problem with either squirrels or fruit rats getting our fruit - how do you net the trees - just go to a garden shop??? I was ready for the peach and nectarine and next thing I knew they were Gone!!

Thanks, Chris

We have a couple of apple trees and a plum tree. It's not the squirrels that get to the fruit...it's the birds! I have absolutely NO idea how to stop them.

The boys are at Bass Pro Shop and ahould be home in awhile. I guess I have got to figure something out for dinner. Here's hoping there are leftovers or I will have to fix something. I'll be back after I cross my fingers and root around.

Jared was 8 when we went to CRT. The most fun he had was when Mary Poppins told him she could teach him to say Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious backward. She had him stand up....turned him so his back was facing us...and said "Now say it!" :rotfl:

We were told Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious and to spell it.

So I did.

IT.

We've never been, which is why DH asked me to make the ressie.

Hum. Maybe I'll hang on to the ressies and get an idea of what they might like when we get on site. It's breakfast for our last morning - so there will be time to gauge their mood.

You should do it, IMHO. The atmosphere is really awesome and the food was great too! The Princesses there weren't pushy at all and seemed to hand the Princes-in-Training incredibly well! :thumbsup2

I took DS when he was 10 or 11. We were with a large group. He liked the food, but would not get his picture made with any of them. I don't really think I would spend the $$ for CRT for them.
They were supposed to be doing a boy thing at MGM I think with Toy Story, I don't know if they ever did though.

Thanks. I wish they'd do something a little more boy oriented myself.

Personally, I really don't care either way. But DH requested it, and he gives opinions on so little... Hum, maybe he's the one who wants to dine with the princesses! :rotfl:

Maybe we should just keep one table and send in the dad's with the youngest boys - while the mom's and older boys do something else. A table of menfolk - wouldn't that get the CM's attention. :rotfl2:

Is that "drinkable" rum? If so, it seems a shame to waste it. :lmao:

I had a shot of it ONCE, near darn knocked me off the boat. A cross between Sterno, battery acid and wood alcohol.

I asked out local taxi driver what the locals use it for.....he replied - stings/bites.

Andy

It is a really beautiful rest. If you don't keep the ressie you might regret it. But with DS grown now it isn't an issue for us. But I agree there should be much more boy offerings.

PIRATE is a mans role.

Thanks Julie, Andy, Derek (I was going to say Julie Andrews!! Hah! Boom Boom!) and Mary Rose!

Yes, St. Paddy's Day is a good one too!! Haven't heard of St. Pattys but we'll take that one too!!

This time next year there'll be only 5 months to go!

Enjoy St Paddys Day.

I hear Julie Andrews was wishing you a happy St.Pat's too (as well as Julie and Andrew), Moira!

I can hear bagpipes from down on the street occasionally . . . there's an Irish bar just a block away and a lot of people head straight to the bar after the parade . . .A friend of mine who was for Ireland (and has gone back) once told me that she hated St. Pat's here because in Ireland is it more of a religious holiday (do you think so?) while here everyone just looks for a chance to get drunk . . .

:lmao: We usually see Mary at 1900 Park Faire, which is where we usually have our last good-bye breakfast. But they'll be closed for our next trip. :sad1: I think DH is substituting CRT for it.

Chris - Go to your local nursery, garden shop, or Ace - ask for bird netting. You can drape it over the tree a few weeks before the fruit is ripe. Be certain that it goes all the way to the ground, and completely encloses the portions you want to protect. Otherwise it becomes a "dead bird aviary" as they get in and can't get out.

If you have been lucky to get ressies do it!

Got them 190 days out using the 180+10 rule they have for folks staying onsite - so we got awesome times at 8:10 and 8:20 am.

I think I'll hang onto them - and we'll decide when we get there.

Its funny how we here celebrate St Paddys day far more than St Georges day in April, he is our English Saint, and for good measure its shakespears birthday as well.

Albeit, we are seeing more and more English flags out for SG day.

If we could all agree to mark the title of any posting we do that contains cruise stuff (or business) with the triangle ! post icon (see the bottom of your reply window) then it will be easy for those who just want to get down to business to find the important bits as they skim through.

This also takes some of the pressure off Lisa to find and post all the important bits to our summary. Or it at least makes it easier for her to find them...

This is a good idea but my only problem is that it is one more thing to remember to do!
