Yes...I'm quoting myself.....but I find it hysterical that there's a Christmas tree in the background and Mrs. Redneck Claus is kicking back with a cig right next to the tree like it's the coolest thing in the world that there's a PBR coffin in her living room.

I think it's the "coolest thing ever".....what....you don't?:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3 :confused3

I liked Hollywood but loved Brent!!!! :hyper: :hyper: Does anyone know Ian???:worship: :worship: He was the greatest!!!

Weight loss and Mike's lemonade should not be in the same house together!!:rotfl:

Just because we saw him once (I have sailed with Ducky twice) let's do it again!!!popcorn::

I love my children and now grandchildren but the most fun My DH and I ever had was the first time without children at WDW!!! I had taken my children to WDW at least 20 times. My favorite time was when we dropped our youngest off at college and went to WDW!!! We could do whatever we wanted and when we wanted to!!! :rolleyes1

You do know what my answer is of course!!!:rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I hope the darn tiara will work with braids.

Very pretty!! :lovestruc

Ummmmm, something we should know about?

Not yet. That happens when I start on my Ph.D.
First year at Ohio U. - Gulf War I
First year at UConn - Sept. 11
First year at U. Hartford - Iraq invasion

DH is alerting the Pentagon when I go back to school.

Hey all.... can we talk FE for a minute please?

Using the sizes of the FE's on e-bay and the pattern posted earlier this year, I gave my SIL some basic instructions and she agreed to make one for me. It arrived today and measures 8" x 24". The sizes match up, but it looks SO small. Is that normal or should it be bigger? Maybe it's one of those, the camera adds 10 lbs type of things?

Cheers!

by the sizes it sounds right!! I thought 7 3/4" by about 24 " so yours sounds right in line!

Glad to see your sense of humor is back

I'm not a mom and we'll be on our honeymoon, so I chose not to answer this question.... :rolleyes1 ...but if I didn't go with the obvious answer, I'd say having some relaxing time at the spa would be the best treat after the last 9 months of plannng and stress!

Hey...the older you get (I just turned 40 last week) and the larger your family gets (via natural, foster, other family, or adoption etc) you'll see that alone time, time with the spouse, or time with others with similar interests becomes precious after spending hours/days/weeks/years loving watching your kids excel and grow ;) ;) ;) ;) Consider that my marriage advice ::yes::

Hello to all. I got home from the hospital this afternoon. All is good. I don't think I will be down for long. I have spent the last three hours catching up. Thanks for all the well wishes!

Welcome to the newcomers. This board is so much fun! We will have to keep doing it after the cruise by talking about the 'let down', laundry, getting the weight off, paying off the credit cards and all those things that happen when we get back to reality!:(

This will be our longest. we have done two 10day one on the Magic one on the Wonder also several 7 days. I guess you could say we're addicted. I can't wait to see what destinations will be added when the new ships are in service.

Were you on the 10nt Southern?? There are a couple of us on this cruise that were on that one! :thumbsup2

Just because we saw him once (I have sailed with Ducky twice) let's do it again!!!popcorn::

I'm there!!!!!
:thumbsup2

Jon and I want to go by ourselves soooo bad!!!!

It's Vegas...slot machines..friends..D&M..what's not to like?? :)

We may have to talk!!!! :yay:

Lots of us are looking forward to the new ships too:woohoo:
Would love to get on the first cruise of the new ship, but only if it is during the summer due to the kid's school. I had heard the new ships would be in Florida (at least at first) and maybe sending the Wonder and Magic to new ports:confused3
Addicted to DCL...you are in goood company:thumbsup2 ;)

Toss me overboard between CC and PC!

Seriously, I hate cemeteries. I'm going to be dumped into Cook Inlet. My family can go to the beach and think about me.
I was thinking of getting a bit closer to CC:rolleyes1
Just ashes:confused3

That is exactly how DS felt about team sports. And he liked golf, too. :) The funny thing is he loved to play Hockey!
DH and I played intramural floor hockey in college and had a blast:woohoo: Andrew has gotten better about competition things. There was a time where you couldn't play a board game with him.

If number 5 was number 1 she would probably be an only child! LOL!
Some kids are just high maintenance;) Although, mine look so normal now you would never have guessed the things they put me through when they were little:headache: DS was kicked out of 2 daycares:rolleyes1

DH won't have any more time, either....... I've been to LV once... for 24dd's 21st b-day MIL & I took her to LV. We stayed at The Venetian. It was lovely. We had fun, we saw the Rita Rudner show and we went SHOPPING!!! :goodvibes
I loved the hotels in LV. We walked around the New York hotel and some others-forget the names. I remember the circus one. I'm sure it has changed a lot since I've been there. I couldn't go shopping, I had to keep an eye on DH at the black jack tables so we went home with some money:laughing:

Lately baseball is getting to be such a pain in the add with all the games, it's hot, DS doesn't want to go & now the coach! I was saying to DS at dinner, "Why don't we just forget about Little league next year & try Tae Kwon Do or something?" He said he'd rather try wrestling, but he agreed that he's fed up with baseball. Don't you tonight he hits one all the way to the fence & the coach let him pitch for the first time ever & he did so well that he let him finish the game. Guess what? DS just loves baseball! :headache:
Oh I'm glad it worked out:banana:
Andrew did stay with baseball through age 12 and did manage to have some fun so we are not sorry he played. Your DS can always move on to wrestling later:thumbsup2

Hey, I just tell it like it is! ;)
And I can't wait to have that drink with you!

Our oldest is/was a very good athelete BUT, he didn't care for team sports. So, I put him in Tae Kwon Do when he was 13 or so. He loved it and had a good time for a couple of years!

We'll make sure that y'alls youngest meets our youngest.... I'll get Claire to tell her how much FUN the kids club is and maybe Claire can convince her to stay. ;) On the last cruise one of the other Disers realized that the thier dd paged them to get her everytime our dd left the Club! :rotfl2: I told the they should have told me when they wanted her to stay in the club and I would have arranged it! :rotfl:
With Claire you either love her or are a little overwelmed by her!!! :lmao: She is BUSY!!!!

Sounds to me like your kids have a "schedule to keep" :) I hope the DD7 meets someone her age that keeps her interested. Buckifan has a DS13 who she'd LOVE TO HANG with....but again.....a) she's a girl b) he is 13 and she is 7 and c) HELLO.....that'd be like babysitting....but she loves to be with older kids and my DH tells me they won't (won't, Won't, WON"T, again...won't) allow the 7 yr old to be with our 9 yr old.......hum......creates a delima for us :)

Very cool. We lived in Kodiak for 2 years. Lots of WWIII bunkers up there. They could see Japanese ships from parts of the island. Not many people realize how close they were in the north.

Please tell me FIL isn't responsible for Mill Bay Road. It is one of the 2 main roads on the island and built on top of an old Russian Logging Road - they just put asphalt over the logs. The potholes form in strips, so it still looks like a log road. They re-pave that sucker every year.

Oh and Alaska is AK, Alabama is AL.

Yeah, but it's OK if you take the time to decorate it and throw it over when it is dark and no one is watching. :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Besides, who's gonna notice a 5' bottle with my corpse in it??

First....oops! Sorry about the AK/AL.

My MIL kept diaries for the better part of 10 yrs. and we have them. She mentioned something about "Russian pilots making a hush-hush stop" while she lived there. And I wouldn't be too surprised if Grandpa Earl (first name Roy) did have something to do with the road. He oversaw bridges,Zepplin Hangars, roads, schools and a lot of other stuff. We had a ton of pictures but sent them to Kev's oldest brother to scan.
We have several items that she bought, made from walrus ivory, at a local gift shop called "The Totem Curio Shop". There was nothing but dirt roads in town.

ANd stop talking about REALITY!!!!

The teal green

So, you're going with that FANTSTIC va-voom dress???? :thumbsup2

I'm grumpy ... well actually, I'm Kandi, but I'm channeling grumpy right now :headache: For those keeping score, I had a list of "resolutions" that I hoped to be accomplished this year ...

1) TOAL ... and danggit, this one is NOT an option ::yes::

2) Get a new job

3) Sell our house and buy a new one

Soooo ... I got out of bed at 7:00 this morning and was awaiting confirmation of the 3rd and final interview for the "perfect" job, also awaiting acceptance on the offer that we made a new house, to go along w/the offer that we accepted a few weeks ago on our current house.

By 2:00 this afternoon, my life "resolutions" started to crumble ... first, NO-GO on our offer of the new house ... next, NO-GO on the "perfect job" ... finally, :worried: financing fell through for the buyers on our current home, thus NO SALE :(

I think that some others amongst us will understand when I say that the final news of the sale of our current home falling through being delivered by a Cop standing in my kitchen with the words, "I have some really bad news" ... was actually a relief :worship:

I, for one, cannot WAIT until Friday the 13th, I mean SHOOT ... Tuesday the 10th was bad enough
