Question...does anyone know what time the group is going to Cabo Wabo yet?

The Swim early times were booked ....but they'll open more at the 90 day...the only Swim time left was the 12:30-4:00

The Encounter time was at 2:30 to 4:00

Can someone explain this for me?
The itinerary says that all ashore is 9:30am but someone said the earliest dolphin swim at Cabo is 8:45am

How does that actually work? What time is the ship actually in port?

Maybe you are right. Seems to be a poor way to get repeat cruisers, leave only the unpopular excursions for the newbies....

Yeah but if you think about it- just the fear alone of not being able to book what I wanted forced me to take a cruise so I could be a repeat cruiser ao maybe the are not be dumb after all.

Newbie cruiser here and I feel fortunate that I lucked into cyber meeting you all & enjoying the craziness (even when I get SOOOO behind... you guys go sooo fast!)... So I do kinda know what I'm missing and I'm jealous that I'm relegated to having to hope there is enough pixie dust around so I can get some of what I want to book Next cruise I'll be with you guys on booking nite.

Fortunately, by getting to know you all I was able to find out about the PV zip line (& booked) and the Jolly Pirate (booked).... So I'm only hoping for Cartenga... Anything else will be bonus!

What an introduction you are getting. First time cruising ever or just first time DCL?

Last year's Med Repo was my first DCL, although my 6th overall cruise. I was able to get everything I wanted at 75 days out, with the exception of Palo. I was even able to score a Cabana Massage on Castaway Cay. But for Palo I just checked back every few days and something popped up about a month before.

So you should be fine.

How does that actually work? What time is the ship actually in port?

The ship docks earlier than that....they have to get cleared by the local authorities and such....the time listed for the excursion is the time that you would meet with the rest of the group in one of the lounges and such.

For example:
Dolphin Swim
Meet in Animators at 8:45
Sign release forms and get towels
Wait for stragglers
Walk to gangway

By then, it's close to 9:30........

Good news!

Renee, the supervisor at DCL that was working on my issue, was at least able to everything (Both excursions and Palo) booked manually for us. The IT team is still trying to figure what happened, and fix it so that we can view and/or change things. But at least we are (hopefully) booked.

We are doing the Land's End Coastal Tour in Cabo, and then hoping to head over to Medano Beach afterward, though I have no idea what time my excursion is.

We're doing the Acapulco City Tour with Cliff Divers.

And we booked the Mangroves, Lunch, and show in Cartegena, but we'll probably end up cancelling that one because we really like the sound of the Mr Emerald tour Paula is working on.



Now if we can just get them to assign Linda's and my staterooms near each other, we'd be set.



ETA: OK, now it's showing up as reserved even though I still have the error. So I can't change anything, but at least i have something. The Cabo tour is from 11:30 to 1:00, so I doubt we'll make it to the beach. We'll proabably just wander and shop a little bit.

Ok you guys move too fast. I am finished with ketchup, but I am sure I missed something important.

Just got back from Best Buy. DH insisted we needed a HD Camcorder. So we bought a Sony High Definition Handycam with 40 GB hard drive. It was $100 off, which is unusual for a Sony. So $900. It is charging now so we will see. I told him is he loses this one I am tossing him overboard. (he left the last one on the boat at Epcot)

So congrats to those that got and any birthdays and anything else I missed. Great First Communion pictures. My nephew has his today.

I am busy backing up my laptop because tomorrow it goes back to HP to correct an intermittent problem before the warranty expires. I sure hope I have it back by May 19th. The desktop is so much slower.

I honestly think that they only release a small amount on at the 105 day mark. There really are very few concierge rooms.
I think that the ones that filled up last night simply give us an indication of how popular they will be....and it lets you know that if you want one, book that first and do the rest of your requests 2nd.

By the way.....we didn't book ANY of those "popular" ones....so please don't beat me!!!

Everybody have a great Sunday. Today is the last day of 10ds's play (Little Eyolf) at one of our community theaters (I think this is the first time that they have worked with a child. )
It's been interesting for him to work with all new people -- a couple of other theaters ahd recommended ds to this director and she called him for a reading a couple of weeks ago. Last weekend's and so far this weeks shows have been good.
Today our out of town guests (we met them on our ABD this past August) are coming to see the show.
DS was happy last night that oldest DS and dh's parents came to the show -- 10ds dies in the show and he knew that several people didn't want to come because of that! Last summer ds played Jimmy Sullivan (Annie's little brother) in The Miracle Worker and his grandparents wouldn't come see it since he had to cry out in pain as he was being pulled away.....

Well I hope they get over that if he is going to continue to act.

There is a group of us that are going to just hang out at the beach and when we are through with that we are taking the kids to the club and then hitting Cabo Wabo.

Trying to figure out why I couldn't make reservations last night. So far the agent and supervisor are both stumped. The show us as PIF, and the ressie has the vow renewal code on it, so we should be good to go, but we aren't.

Wendy, that is me. I will post the information about the tours when he gets it to me. I can tell you that there are going to be at least 2 choices one that is the Walled City/shopping and another Baru/Walled City/Shopping. I have told him that our excursions open on the 19th --so I am hopeful that I will get all the info this week.

Thanks, Paula. Can you keep our family in the loop? We had sort of decided to do the "Best of Cartagena" excursion with DCL but they found out last night that it wasn't listed. So, looking to see what our other options are. Definitely don't want to do anything on our own in this Port - needs to be a group excursion of some sort.
