Okay guys & gals...the day is half over and I still have stuff to do. Have I mentioned that I hate ironing and can think of any excuse to put it off?? :)

I am off to the grocery store. I am going to actually try to buy food to eat at home this week. I am so tired of buying and throwing away bags full of expired food every week. I have great intentions but then Bill will say "Let's just go get something" and off we go.
We eat out almost every day. Unhealthy and expensive.
I have had everyones buy in so wish me luck.
In the interest of full disclosure, I hate cooking and cleaning up and the kids do not like most of what I cook but going to try it anyway.

Debi - got a question for you. Have you and Kev rented Harley's before? I can't find any info on it, but I got to wondering if there are any age restrictions. Obviously DS wouldn't be driving, but not sure if they prevent me from taking him with me. I'll probably call HOG and see if they can tell me.

This will be our 1st time and Kev is so looking forward to it. Not sure about the age thing. You might send them an email, I've always had an answer within a day when I've sent one.

Debi

No where would the fun be in that? ;)
The funny think is I have read 95% of all posts for at least the past 6 months and every now and then I will someone quote a post I never read. That really freaks me out.:lmao:
Freaks me out, too. I search back to try to find the original quote and sometimes cannot find it. I figure it was either edited away or deleted.
BTW, I thought your special day pictures were incredible. What a gift to have influenced so many people.

Thank you very much. It was a fun time. The students here really make my life a joy!

A big shot attorney had to spend a couple of days in the hospital. He was a royal pain to the nurses because he bossed them around just like he did his staff. None of the hospital staff wanted to have anything to do with him.
The head nurse was the only one who could stand up to him. She came into his room and announced, "I have to take your temperature." After complaining for several minutes, he finally settled down, crossed his arms and opened his mouth.
"No, I'm sorry," the nurse stated, "but for this reading, I can't use an oral thermometer." This started another round of complaining but eventually he rolled over and bared his behind.
After feeling the nurse insert the thermometer, he heard her announce, "I have to get something. Now you stay JUST LIKE THAT until I get back!"
She left the door to his room open on her way out. He cursed under his breath as he heard people walking past his door, laughing.
After a half hour, the man's doctor came into the room. "What's going on here?" asked the doctor.
Angrily, the man answered, "What's the matter, Doc? Haven't you ever seen someone having their temperature taken?"
After a pause, the doctor confessed..... "Not with a carnation."

Yep! We will be easily be spotted.... There are 3 of us --wide-eyed, all smiles, giggling, looking a little nervous, but happily jumping off the DIS bus... confident we have everything that we need... beer/wine in rolling soft-sided cooler, sufficient quarters for laundry, over the door stuff holder, FE & appropriate FE gifts, power strip, etc. all ready to explore every inch of the Magic. So if we look a little confused.. just shove us in the right direction... we'll appreciate it.:)

Also, keep me in mind for any Cartagena group thingy... cause I think the DCL will be next to impossible.

Just don't ask Chris (grandmaX3) to take you on a ship tour. You never know where you'll end up!!!

Argh. I be guilty!

BUT, not as guilty as ye! pirate:

And beside, did you notice the symmetry with me? I was the 27th poster with 27 posts. What do you call that? Oh, nevermind. I'm not sure I want to know! :lmao:

You know, with these wild and long threads, it would certainly help if the quote function had something like, "Originally Poste by Andrew DEREK UK on Page 151" That way we wouldn't have to search forever when we see a partial quote from somewhere.

Coder, anyone? :)

That's what the little blue arrow is for. Just click on it and it will take you back to the original post.

This is our 1st time cruising. Been to WDW too many times to count & DL 3 times. I'm so glad to have found this thread... Everyone is so helpful & friendly! It has really made our 1st cruise special. We planning on doing lots of things with our fellow DISers & my aunt has really gotten into the dressing up for pirate nite. I just can't believe all the helpful info I've gotten to make our TOAL great! I don't get to post much, but I play ketchup a lot & the posts are always fun & interesting. The times I have posted, everyone is so helpful!!!:goodvibes I'm looking forward to meeting everyone (I talk more in person:) )!!!! I just want to thank you all for helping to make this truly a TOAL!!!!:thumbsup2

This is our very first cruise also!

Hey folks, just thought I'd share a discount code I ran across for National. They don't have an office near the port, but if you need a rental car elsewhere, this may help you.

Contract ID - 8572957
Coupon Code - ND2119071Q (blog coupon, no paper coupon needed)

I was able to get the wine van for about half the price of my previous quotes. I couldn't use the coupon though, but still got a great rate.

HaHaHaHa!! - Hey anyone can give a tour - I took you on an adventure - same as when we walked down the "mountain" in Gibraltar! So from now on if I say oh lets go this way - you're going to turn in the opposite direction??

Hi,

Just to let everyone know - DCL won't let me know which date they've (hopefuly) approved until the 30 day mark.
Wench's Brunch: Dates requested: 1st choice -8/21, 2nd choice - 8/27 3rd choice - 8/29. There are other groups that have also requested the private dining room for brunch (including Cheryl for her anniversary celebration 8/24).
Wench's Tea: 8/23 (depending on availability - on the Med Repo the Private Dining room was not offered - we had 2 large tables) 2nd: 8/24

Hope that helps w/planning.

8/23 may very well be semi-formal night if you go by the WB itinerary. Don't know if that really matters, but just thought I'd throw that out there.

Joel.....Thanks so much!!! So nice of you to think of Kylie yesterday :)

Was a beautiful day. Well, inside the Church, anyway. Outside was rainy. But the Mass was awesome. Kylie read the Prayers of the Faithful. She did a great job.

Now that all of our First Communion planning is behind us, we are full steem ahead for cruise planning! We are SOOOO looking forward to Saturday!

Here is Kylie reading at Mass-

Here is a picture of Drew and Kylie after the Mass. He was still in his server alb.

You will all see her in this dress again on a formal night. :goodvibes

Beautiful pics! :thumbsup2

Did anyone watch the Derby yesterday? It ended up being a nice day, a little chilly. The race was great! Big Brown came from the 20th post to win the race. Eight Belles (the filly) placed 2nd, but collapsed after the race with 2 broken front legs and was euthanized 8 minutes later. It really put a damper on the race.:sad2:

So sad! :guilty:

Well, I don't think you can beat the value in the repo cruises. I look forward to some exciting itinerary changes. We didn't do the Med cruises--hope to do one the next time DCL ventures over. But we have done all the other cruises for the most part. We booked a RCCL for Thanksgiving--just to go to some new ports. St Maarten will be the only repeat for us.

At the end of this month, I'm celebrating my 25th anniversary of ordination to the priesthood. Today, my school children surprised me with a special anniversary "lunch with the pastor" Disney style.
Here I am, walking my Mousekeeters around the building to the gym, where we all ate lunch.

Cake and Cards from my kids:

Meant to say this days ago, but I lost a bunch of quotes. Anyway congrats on 25 years! :thumbsup2

Also I clicked on that link that Tom warned not to & I really like the Pirates that Don't Do Anything song! Very catchy! Except my DS now plays it over & over again.

That statement alone makes me VERY jealous!

There is one in Marlton, NJ, about 1/2 hour from me.... happened to be passing it on way back from meeting and my car just got sucked into the parking lot....

Does anyone have a spreadsheet or something you'd be willing to share? I'm trying to figure out the best way to keep track of my activities. And why reinvent the wheel when I'm sure all of you OCDers have something already.

My typical unprofessional way of planning is to use and excel spreadsheet, days across the top, breakfast/morning/lunch/afternoon/dinner/evening down the side. I pencil stuff in the boxes (well, I really type, but since its not permanent ink I can change). I then add reservation numbers, flight numbers, etc. as I go forward.
