I am a little embarrassed to post at such a late date (since I feel like I abandoned this thread), but I am so excited that I decided to post anyways. My family leaves tomorrow and we will be spending 3 nights at the HOJO. I can't wait to run into fellow cruisers - I have a feeling that there will be plenty of us at the hotel. This will be our first visit to Disneyland so that adds to our excitement. I finished work yesterday and I spent the day packing and cleaning the house. I am almost all organized (except that I need to figure out where I am going to pack my dress and my DD's dress???). I also realized that I need to get some luggage tags. I can not wait to meet everyone.

Don't feel bad...I'm an abandoner/returner too! My excitement and paranoia have brought me back here so I'll be popping in a lot between now and when we leave early Sat. afternoon. I just can't wait!!!! I hope everyone will have safe journeys and I already know it's going to be an utterly amazing cruise.

A CC wedding does sound devine...... Our dd's need a Priest and for it to be indoors (Catholics can't have a valid wedding outside -- and no, I don't know why! LOL!). I have already researched (we tried to talk our 25dd into getting married @ WDW, her now dh wouldn't. ) and I found a local Priest that will do weddings for Disney fanatics!!!!

Although...if Fr Mike likes us...maybe we will be able to convince him to do the wedding....here I am planning a wedding for a girl that doesn't even have a boyfriend!

good evening everyone! we finally made it!! now i find myself "checking people out" wondering if it's someone that's been chatting here! can't wait to start meeting all you guys!

We arrived yesterday too. Flight on SW was on time and we were checking in at the GC around 3:00. We had reserved a one-bedroom suite with our DVC points. I was quite disappointed, though, when we were told at check-in that we did not have a park view. I had previously looked at the disneylandmeetings.com website, and according to that, the queen/queen artisan suites have a CA park view. Nope, not for us...we've got a courtyard view! Don't get me wrong...the resort and room are beautiful, but I was really looking forward to that park view from the room!

Went to DL this morning for a couple hours (stood in line behind cruisin'Mike while waiting to get in) and then hopped over to CA for a while. We went swimming this afternoon and will be heading back out in about 40 minutes to use up all those fastpasses we collected this morning.

Almost @ 200. I am so needing to get stuff done. The boys are not packing and I am alittle out about it. I have been wanting them to get stuff done mostly DS but teenagers frustrate me...

I found awesome boarding place for my cat, she gets a sun room and her own window in her room WOW and it only cost $9.00 per day. Since we are there longer than normal. So, I take her there on Friday. This is my list to do on Friday:

Mow lawn
Get clothes from the tailor
finish packing things that need be
clean house
and more things but I can't think of them.

Todd, the early entries are tomorrow (Thursday), Saturday, and Sunday (not that any of us should be doing that before we hurry to the port!

I don't like my hair color/cut much either. She didn't listen to me when I said it would be too light.

And as I was backing out of the driveway today, I hit the neighbors car. There is never a car there....well, there was one there once before and I hit that too.

They had to move it from their driveway for something. I saw it there all morning, but never made a mental note when I was leaving. Nothing too bad, but their bumped is plastic and it cracked it. I'll take care of it when we get back. Who knows...maybe they will get into a little fender-bender before then with someone else.

Good thing he doesn't read the boards. He is scared enough of you guys. He asked me to tell everyone he is a deaf mute so he doesn't have to talk to anyone. (he really isn't that bad, he just likes to give me a hard time)

Not a lot of work getting done this week. I have a presentation I will be giving when I get back and I just can't concentrate on putting together the PowerPoint slides. Maybe I can just do a slide presentation of the cruise. Hey, I can show the work we are doing on the Panama Canal. Unfortunately it is supposed to be about the wonderful world of records management. Yippie. Not exactly exciting stuff.

Crisis averted (bought Robert another pirate hat) and I got them all embroidered at the store there in DL- the kids have had hats before but not mickey ears and not embroidered.

I used to do the embroidering on hats when I worked at DL!

Okee dokee, y'all convinced me! We changed our towncar ressies to MCO and grabbed the Crowne Plaza by the airport for $91 total w/all taxes and fees via Hotwire. Saturday it is!

Excellent choice. We love doing the Crowne Plaza stay/park option at MCO. We usually do that, but since this trip DH is dropping me off to join the "Escaping Moms", we don't need to use that option. We used it a few weeks ago when we flew to San Antonio for my sons Air Force Basic Training Graduation.

Okay fellow repo cruises, I need opinions please! We're getting a little paranoid because we're schedule to land at 12:30...with the ship leaving at 4, that's not much leeway. Tony has double-booked us (I LOVE SW) so we can fly out either Sat. night or Sun. morning. It looks like we could get an airport hotel w/shuttle at a decent rate. So what would y'all do? I hate to abandon our pets for an extra day (a sitter is coming in but it will still be traumatic), but I'd also hate to miss the ship and be swimming to Cabo to catch up!

Welcome back, Barb! I would go for Saturday. Why risk missing the TOAL? We are flying out from Detroit on Saturday and staying at the Sunrise Hotel in San Pedro overnight for under $100. A short hotel shuttle ride the next morning will get us to the port in plenty of time.

My DH is so Awesome. We are seeing my best friend and staying at her house from Friday to Sunday and I haven't seen her in along time and when we go to the ship he got a limo to take us there and they get to be there for the ride and then the limo will take them home. So, that I can spend more time with her. Plus her car can't fit everyone plus our luggage to the ship. I am so excited about this and I can't wait to see her, it's been so long. I just wish that they all could come too on cruise. You would all love her. But I LOVE my DH because he is the sweetest man I have ever met.
I just want to tell everyone how special he means to me that he helps me every way to see my best friend.

Last time I got to see her was only two hours because at the time she live in New York and we were meeting for awhile to go hang out and see her. Then we got stuck in the "black out" when that happened. i was never able to see her and we were headed home to Oregon and he rented a car just so that I could see her for 2 hours and then he amazes me this too. I just want him to know how important he is to me. He knows how much she is to me because her and I have been through so much through out our lives that he tries so hard to let me see her.
