Thank you for your continued wishes re the leg, another Doctor who I had a routine appointment with today confirmed it wouldnt be DVT, but a ligament strain or something like that.

Seems my last post got 'edited' last night, :confused3 Thought it might be close, but not over the mark, as a simular joke was on Childrens BBC here.

ATTENTION ATTENTION

Pirate Night meeting at Shipwreck Cove

My DS9 is dressing as 'hanging boy' from AWE.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho,
thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

The king and his men
stole the queen from her bed
and bound her in her Bones.
The seas be ours
and by the powers
where we will we'll roam.

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Some men have died
and some are alive
and others sail on the sea
– with the keys to the cage...
and the Devil to pay
we lay to Fiddler's Green!

The bell has been raised
from it's watery grave...
Do you hear it's sepulchral tone?
We are a call to all,
pay head the squall
and turn your sail toward home!

Yo, ho, haul together,
hoist the colors high.
Heave ho, thieves and beggars,
never shall we die.

Costume detail : Make sure he has a piece of eight .....wouldnt be right to hang him and him not have the piece of eight to hit the floor:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2: jk well not about having a piece of eight ..lol

M, I was doing some skimming over lunch and noticed the Exercise Challenge in your signature. Do the numbers correlate to number of minutes or something else?

Thanks!

Yeah, # of minutes. I try for 1000 per month.
Umm, been know to do 450 in the last week of the month just to make it! My week of biking & a triathlon put me over the top early this month.

There is an Exercise Challenge thread each month on the W.I.S.H. board for accountability, encouragement, etc.

Some people count a walk around the block with their kids, or minutes of housecleaning, others only count dedicated 'exercise' time. How much you challenge yourself is up to you. I can recall everything from about 200 to 2000+ minutes as a goal.

Ok...I did decide I had to make my FE myself......for good or for bad....I wanted something original I could use as something special. I'm posting a couple pics here so if anyone else is interested in how to make one let me know. I would never go so far as to say it's as nice as all the others, but in the end I made it special for this TOAL and if you are feelin' that same urge it took me less than a day to sew together after having the fabric and images and spending little time designing it. The sewing was not a big deal.

Way cool! Great job!:cool1: :thumbsup2 ::yes::

:rotfl:

He has a piece of eight.
DH knows how to tie a false noose (can't wait for the comments on that one...), so when another kid is tempted to yank on it, my kid won't actually be strangled! So if you try to hang him, he'll fall to the floor along with the piece of eight.

DS is disappointed that I won't let him grow his hair out all summer to make the costume more authentic.

Don't tempt me dear.... I will have an unfortunate trip up there pretty soon.

My DGM is nearing the end of her life. They gave her last rites on Saturday but the staff at the nursing home told my dsis it's just a matter or time. She is in her late 80's and unfortunately has had pretty bad alzheimers for the past 10 yrs. She doesn't know who she is and didn't know who my grandfather even was the last few years of his life either.... She was always so nice to my Dsis and i as kids so it has hurt me to not have her know who we are or who her Great grandkids are. :worried: She'll be a better place though at least.

So sorry K!

Hey folks .. just wanted to announce that we got a ROOM!!! Okay, well I guess we won't be sleeping in the lifeboats. They were getting pretty cozy . ..LOL. We'll be in Room 2108! Yeah! DH is happy that we're in the back of the ship and not way forward. Personally I am just happy to be on the ship at all.

Today was tough b/c the contract for our house fell through. I'm sure there is someone else out there that will love our house. Just ready to get this move over with.

It's been fun reading about all the scrapbookers. I did one book of our last cruise and I'm looking forward to doing this one, too. DH and the DSs LOVE reading thru the books and showing them to others. Really helps us remember those great memories!

Have a terrific night!

Theresa 8-)

Woohoo! Congrats on the room assignment! :yay: Sorry about the contract falling through! :worried:

really sorry to hear this. My Dad has dementia (not alzheimers though) He knows that he knows me, but he doesn't know that I'm his daughter.

Thank God for that better place

:scared1: G'Morning everyone............just wanted to say hello. Lots going on here! First home swim meet tomorrow, I do the concessions so I have had lots to do for that, DS12 is in karate camp this week getting ready for his Black Belt test on Saturday. He will test along with DH who will be getting his 2nd degree black belt. DD9 is in VBS all week so I am doing a lot of driving.

I did however get to focus for just a little while yesterday and did buy some fabric to make the ever so popular fish extender............DD9 plans to help me devise a plan this afternoon as to how we want it to look.

A while back I was speaking of my FIL and the health problems he has been having. Dr recommended a feeding tube and FIL said no way.............well update: FIL now has changed his mind after speaking to his neurologist and has agreed to the feeding tube so he will have it put in on Thursday morning. I feel bad for him but really its for the best.

Lots of stuff going on here............trying to keep up as best I can. Hope everyone is having a great week!!!

Glad FIL decided on the feeding tube, even though it does really stink to have to go that route. :(

Are there are a lot of boys that dance up your way? There was only one boy in the kindergarden ballet/tap class, a twin of a girl in the class. He didn't really look like he wanted to be there. Now the instructor's son and a couple other boys 3rd grade and up are going to be in a boys only tap class. After talking to the son, DS wants to take the class. Part of me says great! It will give him something fun to do but part of me doesn't want him to just because kids can be mean enough without something like that for ammo. I think that I have talked him into taking TKD after we get back and start school in the fall.

Not a lot but, there are some. In 6dd's class there were 2 boys. I know in one of the Advanced Tap and an Advanced Jazz (both high school age classes) there were a couple of boys in each class. And they offer a hip hop class that is just for boys & a *theater* dance class for boys that wouldn't normaly take dance. I don't know about any of hte other dance classes since I didn't see their recitals. ;)

10ds will be taking a dance class soon. His dad has been after him to take dance the last couple of years. DS loves theater (has auditioned and made shows at 3 of the local theaters) and hs dad said that if he wants to be on stage he needs to more well rounded with his talents. ;)

well i went to the store yesterday and bought some fat man shorts.
i bought 36 inch waist. first time in my life i bought that big of pairs.
i wear 34 now and they are a little tight, if i dont lose the weight i want to before the cruise there is no way they are going to fit near the end of the cruise. so i went ahead and got them, incase i cant find them later on.

Hi all! It's been ages since I posted and I can't believe this trip is less than 2 months away. I am so psyched, I feel like I think of nothing else. Our desk top was down for over 3 months and every time I signed on DH laptop, it would bounce me back to his screen name.

Have been working a p/t job for a lawyer since March, and will be closing my scrapbook store before we leave for our trip. It has been a rough ride, and with the economy so bad, hobbies get put to the back shelf. I understand that, we are all having a hard enough time just putting food on our table and gas in our car! I did 2 shows this year which I also did last year, and I didn't do half as well at them, so it was time to make a decision and pack it in. I am ok with the decision, and trying to get it all done before our trip so I can go away with a clear head and enjoy.

Of course, dopey me didn't get on for ressies till late the night they were available and we didn't get anything for Palo brunch, no CC Cabana massage, and a few other things were closed out. We managed to get a few of our choices, so it was okay. We only got the first night Paol dinner. Hopefully there will be some things available when we board, but I also keep checking the website for availability.

I hope you all are well and anticipating as much as I am. Will be back later.

Debi

Debi, I don't think I have seen your posts before but wanted to welcome you back. So sorry to hear about your store. I love to scrap and think I would have loved your store. Are you going to be in the scrapbooking event? I am looking forward to whatever it is we are going to be doing. See you on the ship.
:)

What is the FIRST "HAPPY THOUGHT" that comes to mind now? Or recently....???

That it looks like our Home Equity line is going through which means we can pay off our maxed credit cards & can actually go on this TOAL & we're ALL on the Magic together!!

What comes to mind as something you wish could be CHANGED about your cabin - and you are free to use your imagination any way you wish in replying to this or any of the questions BELOW. Silly or serious... no sweat.

EVERY stateroom should have a private room for the adults & a verandah with private hot tub. I can dream right?

What would you like INTRODUCED (added or changed) to our dinner dining if possible?
Free wine with dinner! Hey I can dream can't I?

What would you like INTRODUCED (added or changed) to the POOL AREA(s) .... or alternatively.... any public area or place on the ship?

A bigger pool with a couple of huge slides & spray jets for the kids & for me a private butler that serves me drinks & munchies & rubs my back as I laze by the pool. Still dreamin'!

Do you DANCE a "real" dance ... or do you sort of hop around and randomly swing your arms madly about?

This is the second time at least that you've asked such a question. Are you afraid we might embarrass you Crash? Well don't stand too close to me if you are nervous, because flailing my arms about while I hop around is about as good as it gets! :bitelip:

If you wish .... please ask a quesion for the next person posting to reply to. Only ONE question please... and try to maintain a cordial and diplomaticly respectful tone with this question.

What is your favorite appetizer, entree or dessert on board?

What is your favorite "getaway" spot, or thing to do onboard?

Sitting on my verandah late at night while sipping a cocktail, whispering to DH about our day & watching the storms across the ocean. :cloud9:

Sorry that you are having to close down your business. I know that it can add up since I have been working on our 12/06 cruise scrapping the past couple months. I have 116 pages so far and probably have another 25 - 30 to go just for the cruise portion. We stayed in WDW with friends a few days prior and had a big DIS meet Friday night. I have three scrapbooks for it already but will probably have to get a fourth. Each day is in a 12x12 file folder since I don't always work in order and don't like to rip the page protectors taking the pages in and out while I go through and do each stage. I still need to add some embellishments to most of the pages along with titles and I haven't started the journaling for it yet but all the pictures are matted and in place so far. My goal is to have it completely finished before the TOAL. :) I have been buying paper and embellishments for the TOAL books and putting it away too.

Not fair! You sound as organized as I would like to be!:rotfl2:

Good luck with that! At least that way you guys won't have to stress so much about him getting enough nutrition or aspirating... Hopefully he can still taste things in moderation.

Oh man how am I going to remember everything the Pirates have planned? Geez. I'm going to have to do an itenerary for us before we leave!

So back to our bathingI bought a bathing suit over the weekend. I got 'board shorts' from JCP and the top from Dillards. They're not totally mismatched but it's what looked decent on my body... I couldn't believe the size I had to buy :scared1: Need to work harder on losing some of that :(

I had a "Disney Nightmare" last night which I thought I'd share. I dreamt that we were leaving earlier than scheduled, for some reason were weren't going in August but in fact our flight was leaving in 1.5 hours and I hadn't packed!

Either this trip is too long in coming and I desperately want it now (true) or my subconscious is telling me its time to get organised. How soon is too soon to start packing? :rotfl2:

I already have my toiletries organized, my FE gifts, and some clothes hanging on a portable rack. I don't have the luxury of a spare bedroom to put things in, so it's a real mess right now.

But then, I cheated. I just unpacked from the last cruise, and set "cruise stuff" aside for this one. :rolleyes1
