On our way home from our trip on Dream, it was great, but many still needed practice/training. Someone said 1,339 passengers on board. We had a 1 bedroom concierge suite. Our servers, stateroom host and concierge were all great. Our server told us this team was made up of crew from all the ships all mixed up, and a lot of this team will be transferred over to the Wish next year.
Embarkation: Despite being told by Disney on phone we could arrive after 11am that wasn't true. We showed up at at 12:30 but we were told to come back at 1pm when garage opens. We returned at 1pm and the non-Disney port workers then didn't know how to handle concierge guests, first they didnt want to take our bags because we didn't have a PAT, after they finally took our bags someone directed us to the garage, there we were once again questioned about our PAT then allowed us to go to the garage where someone else stopped us and got a supervisor on radio that was saying we had to leave because "we couldn't follow simply directions" and didn't have "blue ticket" to get in. So we had to reverse and go back to the luggage area where a Disney cast member noticed us backing up and stopped us and apologized that he forgot to give us the ticket. We were directed to testing for kids, after test they told us to wait on deck 2, took 1 hour to get results and got the all clear to board. Signs in garage said terminal access on floors 1 and 3, so we went down to 1 and a Cast member came around the corner looking confused as to why we were there and said we had to go back up to deck 3 and use bridge, told us the people doing the testing weren't giving us correct directions.
Got through security fast then went up escalator we were then escorted through the terminal by a cast member straight from escalator right onto the ship did the little welcome dance and quickly led into the Royal Palace for the concierge lunch. Was a bit overwhelmed and felt very rushed getting on, probably took 5 minutes from security to get to lunch, but by that time it was already 2:30pm. So needless to say we weren't hungry for dinner at 5:30. Every time we went to main dining breakfast/dinner the cast member who showed us to our table was clearly lost and I had to show them to our table. Donuts, omelettes and Mickey waffles not at Cabanas but they were in MDRs
Concierge: sun deck was open, lounge open but snacks served like Cabanas, room service available. Only cast member allowed in your stateroom was your stateroom host, no servers or concierge.
On deck 5 you can not get to midship from the aft. The hallway along the oceanears club was one way from mid ship to aft and only one adult per group. First day we stopped and asked cast member about the open house and she said unfortunately they are not doing open houses anymore. But the next morning at 8am we went to the open house, it was still there. The Oceanears clubs were really stripped down to nothing to do, the Disney Infinity room just had figures in cases, no game to play. Pixie Hollow craft area had no crafts or tablets to use. Andy's room the Potato Heads were all gone. Our kids had no interest in returning since they had nothing to do.
Castaway: The virtual queue to get off at Castaway was a mess. Wanted to get off right away, started trying to get in at 7:30 but kept getting connection errors until 8am, finally got in queue for 10:30 so went back to our room, luckily stopped in to concierge lounge and our host said we didn't need to join queue since we had concierge. So we got off at 8:45 and island felt deserted until about noon, but never got busy at all. Mask policy on trams was not enforced, my family was usually only one masked up on tram. It was enforced for Cookies and shops.
Another interesting thing, you cant access Enchanted Garden on deck 2 from the forward elevators. We tried and started down hall and noticed a sign I wish I took a picture of, it said "Quarantine area, do not enter" it was on the wall, didn't notice at first but then after a few staterooms a hallway doorway was closed, so had to turn around and saw sign.
Overall great cruise, but over too soon.
