We have an 8:15 ADR for Crystal Palace. Will be be done in time for rope drop? Thanks.

Since it's a buffet and you won't have to wait for the food, it's possible. But if you want to make sure to have time with all the characters there that day, I wouldn't count on it.

We dined at CP in March...we had an 8:05 am ADR. The line to check in was crazy long and the wait to be seated was quite a while. We had a perfect view of the rope on the bridge to adventureland. We watched everyone line up and run like crazy...while we were still waiting to see the characters. Don't plan on rope drop, unless you get very lucky.

We had an 8:05 seating several years ago and we had plenty of time. DS and I got to meet all the characters, get autographs and pictures. We were right at the rope with time to spare.

Sadly, I would also say no. That's if you want to see all the characters. It take quite awhile for them to all get around. We also have two small children, so that may be why it takes longer for us.
In all of our 10 trips, we have dined at CP around 8'ish a morning during each trip. We have never made rope drop. However, we got some GREAT pics on Main St., empty, as we came in! :)

I have never had any problem with that sort of time and rope drop. Maybe I eat too quickly or something?? My family are usually done with enough time to get over to Cindy's Castle and rope drop.

A tip we used to save time was...... as soon as you get your drinks... ask for the check! The sever was great and we tipped him well. When we were done eating we were off to the park! Dint make rope drop but were close~

nope not us. we were with an 805am res and we still had to wait 15 min. then had to wait to pay, never mind time to eat and see the characters.
I think you may have to pick which one is more important to you

We have an 8:05 am ADR, which I believe is the earliest possible time anyone can get. How early are you allowed into the MK in order to get to CP by 8:00 am? If we show up at 7:30 am, will they let us in? I'm afraid of getting there too late, even at 8:00 am, and waiting behind everyone else with ADRs for 8:10-8:30 am to check in. Anyone know?

In September, we had an 8:10 reservation. We were able to eat (without rushing) and have all the characters come by our table for photos and still were finished and out before rope drop. It was a wonderful morning!!

Good luck and enjoy!

you will be let into the park early if you have a breakfast ADR. There's a special turnstile at each park for breakfast ADR people - just show the CM a copy of your ADR, and you can get in the park before it opens. If your ADR is 8:05 AM, you could easily get into the park at 7:45 or even sooner than that.

We had an 8:05 on Tuesday and were held at the entrance until 8:00...made it to CP quickly though. There were 2 people doing the check-in so that went really fast. Didn't get seated until 8:10 though.

As far as rope drop, it seemed to depend on where you were seated. We were seated about 10 tables down the line from where the characters started their rounds, so we saw all of them in about 20 minutes and were done before rope drop. I'm sure they got slowed down, however, by the larger tables with lots of people.

It was one of our favorite TS meals, definitely worth it!!!!

Anyone have asuggestion as to where to sit in order to be done quickly? where do the characters start making the rounds??

We had an 8:10 ADR for CP in May, and we finished eating, saw all the characters, and waited for my very slow-eating 6-year old to finish her third plate of grapes and still got behind the castle before rope drop. The key to our success is that we were seated at the first table for four in the left room (up against the wall - not the tables in the middle of the room). The characters came out of the door in the kitchen area and went to our table first. I couldn't believe out luck! We saw all four characters and finished eating in plenty of time - we weren't sitting around waiting for anyone while I kept looking at my watch. :rotfl2:

We did check it at the podium a little before 8:00.

We were at the rope by about 8:50 and rode the first round of Dumbo. Another family and we were shocked that we rode first - it hasn't ever happened to us before. We didn't even run - we walked fairly quickly but were limited by 6-year old legs.

We have an 8:05am ADR in Nov. My plan is to get to the park by 7:30am if possible and go in as soon as they let us. I love the idea of asking for the check as soon as you get there, too. Gonna do that! Hopefully we'll catch rope drop, but if we're a few minutes late, there'll still be lots of time to enjoy that low-crowd morning time!!! :thumbsup2

thanks for the info!!!. We were the first ones on Dumbo last year. We had an 8:00 BBB apppointment and were behind the castle for rope drop. Mabye we can do it again!!!! I gues it cannot hurt to ask to be seated there!!

Get there right at 8am you hopefully you will be seated early. We had an 8:10 ADR last week, and we got there right before that. Were seated around 8:15. We were out of there slightly after 9, but we skipped seeing Piglet as we had just missed him and was outside and I wanted to get to Dumbo. The buffet is quick, and depending on the characters, you might miss rope drop.

I would not count on making rope drop. It may be possible but not probable.
