Hi everybody!

I've been trying to catch up with reading all of the posts. Reading about making reservations has really got me excited!!!

Ginny

We were able to make all of our reservations for the 8/8 Western tonight. Because we are on the west coast, we only have to wait until 9pm to be able to make reservations. I was able to take advantage of all of Andrew's tips.

I think we'll have a bit more competition for this cruise. Only seven more days....unfortunately, we'll be at a play. So, I've got to train my husband in getting the reservations!

:yay:WaHooo, just sent a note to my TA to make my final payment on the cruise.:cool1::cool1::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana::banana:

:rockband: WOW !! :thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 now you'll feel almost :goodvibes aboard !!

We are going to pay today !! :) We wanted to do so last week - but our computer broke out ...
We'll try this afternoon , with this new one !!! :worship:

Well their all asleep at the moment, sometimes over weekends you do not hear confirmation until Monday USA time, but they will pass on to DCL quickly.

You have 'One week' clear space before you book,

What is your priority list to book first

I think Sunday Brunch 10.30am will go fast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

kids thread

Quick reminder about the kids thread we are seeing one or two more kids joining, but it would be nice to see more, get them active now, otherwise the ones posting will drop back off.

Its an excellent way for them to get to know each other pre cruise, and then not be worried about making Friends in the clubs.

Hence you then can have a rest!

DS Stephen often finds his Friends at the sail-away party and really enjoys it.

 MY priority list ???

We know we'll skip Palo on this cruise; I guess ;) we had too much of Palo during our last cruise - exchanging reservations with a couple of friends we had 2 dinners ,2 brunches and 2 tea !!!!!!!!!!! This time Marco wants a break !! :rotfl: AFTER ALL ... we eat Italian fare all year long !! :rotfl2:

I've been reading through all available excursions ; we will stick to what Disney offers ... I want to be 100% relaxed and leave all the "organization stuff" to DCL !!!!!!

IF I'm right ...
we will dock at Tortola at 7.30AM, leaving at 5.30PM (staying in port for 10 hours ).

I've checked the following excursions:

1) North Shore and Pussers Island tour (3.5 hours)
2) Arts & Crafts of Tortola (3 hours)

I like both excursions ... and would like to try both ... but DO YOU THINK that the scheduling will be compatible?
Andrew,PLEASE, do you know at what time do the two excursions start? Is it possible IYO to do one of them in the morning and the other in the (early) afternoon?

AND ... what do you think of that Saint John island tour ?? We are afraid we will be doing 2 hours of boat to/from St. Thomas ...:confused3 just to stay on that isle a short time and see ... nothing ???

:confused3 Not much to choose from at St T ?!?

:dance3: I LOVE talking about excursions !!!!!!!

Firstly St John is very very nice for nature lovers, its the opposite of built up St Thomas which is highly commercialized. There as you say isn't too much to choose from, if you like a beach Megan's bay is best, by yourself by taxi or with DCL, the shops are very good an easy walk to the port ones and the main town, (or short taxi). Paradise point is the same price by DCL or if you purchase it there yourself its opposite the port, also Butterfly's is a 5 min walk from the port.

You take a boat across to it.

1) North Shore and Pussers Island tour (3.5 hours)
Day 4 - Tortola - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 8:30 AM12:00 PM

2) Arts & Crafts of Tortola (3 hours)
Day 4 - Tortola - Tuesday, August 18, 2009 8:45 AM11:45 AM

They clash...

Hopefully you will get answers to your questions on the main forum from the recent Tortola cruisers,

I went for the Mountain tops and butterfly tour at St Thomas as its the closest one to an Island sightseeing tour, after the others were withdrawn, at least we can take some photos go to Lumière's for lunch, and then shopping in the afternoon.

Hello Everyone! Happy Mother's Day to all the moms!

We went to our lake place for the weekend and I feel so behind here! I have to read and post!!!

GREAT NEWS....PAID IN FULL!!!! We did it! :cool1: I am so excited and can't wait to make Palo reservations in a few days!

I need to seriously take a look at our options for different excursions...Disney and on our own. We will be conserving money and I have been doing some reading on how to do excursions on our own.

Time to read...I am sure I will be posting more once I read what everyone else has been talking about all weekend!

Jen

What is your priority list to book first

I think Sunday Brunch 10.30am will go fast,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Do you have suggestions for what to book first? Do you think the first brunch on Sunday is the best? What time do you think is best for dinner? We had a late dinner last time and really liked how quiet it was and then we strolled around the deck late at night afterward - it was really nice and a bit romantic. However, is a time near sun set better? How would we know what time to book for sun set?

I am going to try to look at the big picture tonight and see when we should book Palo (brunch, dinner and tea) but am always willing to hear about why other people booked for certain days and times.

Hubby and the kids bought me the new Canon D10 underwater digital camera for Mother's Day. I can't wait to use it on our Tortola snorkeling excursion. My friend who's coming on the cruise with us got one too.

As far as Palo goes, I think I'm leaning towards brunch on Monday to give our friends a day to adjust to the boat and dinner on Thursday.

Spa treatment-may try a scalp massage. It's only $25 for 30 minutes and is supposed to be heavenly. Can't make reservations until onboard though.

We're in Disney the week before the cruise so those dates are opening up for dining. I have to figure out a game plan still for park reservations.

Happy Mother's Day!
