Hi all! Just in from a long day in NYC... I'll post a couple of pictures this weekend (though we really didn't take too many!).... Perfect weather - mid 70s, low humidity.....

Today's stops included: NHL Store, American Girl, Central Park Zoo, lunch at a wonderful little place - Alice's Tea Cup, Tiffany & Co, World of Disney (where we got to see Snow White, and finally Nintendo World... ran out of time for FAO Schwartz today.......

It was a great day! We walked the whole thing too - the weather was perfect.

The afternoon tea we had was one of the highlights of the day. The hostess sprinkled glitter over Keira when we got there - she thought she was real princess!! It's not really what I would call a "kid" place, but it appeased everyone in the family. The boys would have had heart attacks if they step foot in the American Girl Cafe for example!! :rotfl2: The boys were able to get hamburgers (good ones, too!) and Keira had a huge plate of carrots & celery sticks with homemade peanut butter. They have a very unique and healthy menu (for the most part). DW & I had the "Mad Hatter" for 2. Came with two pots of tea (they had 100+ teas to choose from); 3 scones (the pumpin scones were INCREDIBLE); two sandwiches (she chose egg salad and I had a chicken with granny smith apple slices and goat cheese); and finally chocolate moose with some cookies. Sounds like a lot, but those finger sandwiches don't even put a dent in my appetite :rotfl:

Good pics Harry!!

Thanks!

Have you seen how strong Gustav has gotten?!?! Being that oil production is going to get all screwed up again - go out and fill your gas tanks tomorrow - I'm sure the oil companies are going to boost the price gas almost immediately.....

Hi everyone! Long time, no post!!! We returned from LAX yesterday after one of our best vacations ever!!! :cloud9: :cloud9: :cloud9:

We had an absolutely, unbelievably awesome trip - the Mexican Riviera cruise was fantastic and our time in LA was amazing too! I totally fell in love with California and can't wait to return to see more. I'll probably be putting a trip report together soon - I'll keep you posted. :thumbsup2

Hope everyone's keeping well and enjoying the summer. And now for some news - as you may remember, my DH can't make this cruise next year so I initially considered just Samuel and myself sailing. Unfortunately, this is proving too complex as now DS has work experience lined up and also hopes to attend one/two of the many summer music festivals! So I've just put in a request with my TA to transfer next August's booking to one of the rumoured "special" 2010 cruises! ;) I'm sorry I won't be onboard to meet y'all but hopefully we'll get together on future cruises... :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

Hi Karen! I'm glad to here your recent trip was so great!!! They'll definitely miss you on this upcoming cruise! It's been so nice getting to know you! I had to cancel about a month ago due to some things going on here. I'm hoping someday I'll be back on DCL though! Take care. :sunny:

I heard she got recruited by Hugh Hefner- to be one of the Girls Next Door!!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

:lmao: That reminds me, I need to dye my hair more blonde and get a fake tan!

How are you doing Nikki? My kids started school last Tuesday. I can't believe the last 12 weeks went by so fast. Why does summer break always seem to fly by? Good luck to Jordan in school! When does dance start?
