They,, tried something different this year. They only gave us Mon.-Wed. Off so we could get out earlier this year!!!!!!!!!

Thanks!! Nothing serious, for either of us actually. His is more serious than mine because mine is considered elective and his is not! I think it's pretty comical how it's all worked out. Hey we didn't have a "real" vacation scheduled this year. What else are we gonna do with our vacation time? ) And Ed, DH would agree with you in that he moans about being middle aged all the time. But I, on the other hand, remind him I AM 9 years younger than him, and don't group me in that middle aged thing. I still have 5 years, and 2 months before I will even consider that middle age has arrived!

Morning all. I'm trying hard to keep up and post at least once a day so that we don't become the family that no one knows by the time the cruise comes around! That happened on our first DCL and we felt like we missed a lot in terms of recognizing people around the ship and chatting on excursions, in wine tastings etc. So on our second cruise with the banana heads, we dove in a little bit more and it was fun. This last cruise (also with the banana heads) we knew everyone and it was a blast!

Anywho. One of the questions we all answered on the 'nana head group that got us to know a bit about each other was "what do you do when you're not cruising" - ie. do you have a job? are you a volunteer for a cool organization? do you have a cool hobby?

Me: I own my own PR business and work for clients nationwide. I'm a writer by training and work out of my home. Been doing it about 2 1/2 years after 25 years in the corporate world. Hobby: Travel, travel and travel. I work to travel and my girls are becoming spoiled for any boy who will come along in their teens and 20s which is exactly how I wanted it!

How about you?

It's a snowy day in Pittsburgh (something different, huh) so those of you farther east, look out...

Hey Jeff! I know what you mean. I wasn't very involved in my last cruise group, and wish I'd gotten in to it more.

Let's see, I work in accounting (former travel agent), DH is a mailman (ex-military), the kids are DS 8, and DD 5. My non-cruise life is pretty uneventful, which I'm thankful for!! It usually involves kids' homework, sports activities, finding fun things to do as a family. DH is a huge golf nut, and I have been begging him to take me golfing the last few years, but I'm not good enough for him. I used to golf with him before I got pregnant with DS. I'm also a former scuba diver, and want to get back into it now that the kids are a little older. I love to volunteer at our local animal shelter, but I don't do it nearly as much as I should. That's it in a nutshell. My To-Do list for when the kids are older gets longer by the minute, but I'm enjoying these two while we've still got them little and around.

Hi Jeff - For whatever reason, here in central NJ it has not snowed at all this winter (we usually average about 25-30 inches a winter). Your snow has reached us today (first snow on February 20 is some kind of record here); however, not sure if it is going to accumulate or not....

We got 5 inches of snow today, on top of an inch we already had. This forecast was 1-2 inches of snow. Go figure. Last week we were supposed to have upwards of 10 inches, and we got maybe 2! It was really pretty though driving to work. The road and the woods were beautifully coated!

We got 5 inches of snow today, on top of an inch we already had. This forecast was 1-2 inches of snow. Go figure. Last week we were supposed to have upwards of 10 inches, and we got maybe 2! It was really pretty though driving to work. The road and the woods were beautifully coated!

Well technically I just turned middle aged, since I plan on living to 100.
