The day we are going to MK is early opening of 8 a.m. Is it better to get a 8:05 a.m. time or a 9:30 a.m. time? Both are available.

At first I was leaning towards 9:30. Do rope drop, grab a couple of rides & a fast pass...but really we won't have much time anyway.

Now, I'm thinking we'd get in before the park opens still at 8:05 & would be done by 9. Also, we are eating lunch at 1:30 so we might be hungrier this way.

Anybody want to help me out here on which way might work out best.

If it were me I would go with the later time - you can ride a few rides and then grab a fastpass for use later. At rope drop you should be able to get onto 2-3 rides, get breakfast, and head back to the rides.

I would be rushing through breakfast otherwise, with an eye to GETTING GOING!

Totally agree. We've struggled with whether or not to do a 10 or 10:30 breakfast on 8 am opening days. :) To me, EMH early hours at MK are sooo worthwhile. You won't want to miss short Fantasyland lines and the ability to get a couple of FPs.

Agree with the other 2. The later time give you the opportunety to enjoy the first hour which is the less crowded of the day. You can get lots done in that tiny hour.
