8:05 ADR with park opening at 9am??

Need advise on best way to get to MK from POP for an 8:05 am breakfast - the park doesn't open until 9am so I am not sure if the busses will be running at 7:15 when we would need to leave??? Has anyone done this before??? I was thinking about a taxi but I don't know how much they cost.

From what I've read on these boards, each resort has an early bus to the parks for guests who have early ADR's. I'm actually hoping to catch one of those from the AKL so we can be at MK extra early on EMH day to experience all the magic.

Regular busses begin running between the resorts and parks an hour from park opening.

Not to worry! They do indeed run early "Character Meal" Buses and you will have no problem getting to MK for your breakfast. If for some reason you are running late and miss a bus and are anxious about making your 8:05 time, you could indeed jump in a cab -- I "think" you'd be looking at about $10 or $12, but maybe someone else can give a more accurate figure? In any case, as long as you get out early for your bus as you are planning to do, you'll be golden.

Rise and shine - go to the bus stop at 7 AM - there will be a 'breakfast' bus. Tell the driver CM where you are eating and your ADR time.
You will get to MK by 7:45 am, plenty of time for an 8:05 AM ADR. enjoy

Remember that if you take a taxi to the MK it will drop you off at the TTC, not at the front entrance like the busses do, so you'll need to calculate extra travel time from the TTC if you take a taxi.

We did this last October - we had an 8:05 reservation at Crystal Palace. The buses started running very early and made stops at MK, Poly, GF and Contemporary (first stop from Pop was Contemporary, then MK). I forget what time we got on the bus, but we were so early that we stood at the gate for at least 20 minutes before they let everyone in. They let everyone in at exactly 8:05. I have read on other threads that they check a list to make sure you are supposed to be in the park that early, but that morning they did not (perhaps they were running late and that is why they didn't open the gates until 8:05).

Don't worry about it, I worried so much after I made that reservation and it was for nothing!! When I checked in I talked to a CM to make sure of the time the buses to the breakfasts started and everything went so smoothly!

My DD and I had a ADR for 8:05 in April and stayed at Pop. The bus driver said they start running at 6:30am. We headed out to the bus stop around 7:15am and probably waited 10 minutes. We were at the MK with plenty of time since they wouldn't let anyone through until 8am anyway. It was so wonderful to get a look at main street with only a few people around and get a great picture in front of the castle with no one in the background. Enjoy!

I thought the Pop buses didn't stop anywhere else???

Hi - I just reread my post and it does read like they stop at the resorts to pick people up...if this is what you meant.

What I meant was that the bus from Pop drops guests off at Contemporary for Chef Mickey, then MK for those breakfasts, then Poly for that character breakfasts etc. They don't pick anyone up along the way, just drop off where needed. The bus driver asks when everyone gets on where they need to go.
