8:00 ADR to Donalds ? regarding transportation

We have an 8:00 ADR to Donalds Breakfastasaurus. We are staying at FW. We are thinking that it might be better to drive on this day to avoid any mishaps with the early character bus. It sounds like this bus is not very consistent. What time does the parking lot at AK open. The park is scheduled to open at 9:00. Will the parking lot be open at 7:30ish?

I've had 8am PSs for Donalds a few times. Once i drove to make sure i was there on time. We got to the toll booths at 7:30 and others were waiting. They did not open the booths until 7:55.

The next time i took a bus from POP which came about 7:30 or so and we got to the AK entrance (into the park) before 8am

The bus worked bettter for us.

I usually ask about an early morning breakfast bus and many CMs don't know about it or refer to it that way. But in any event a bus will show up.

We did Donald's last week with 8:10 am ADRs. We drove from the Poly and they opened the parking lot at 7:30 am. However, I'd consider asking at check-in for the day of your plans...just to be sure.

In Dec we were at the WL and had a 8 am ressie at Donalds. We were at the bus stop at 6:50. The bus showed up at 7:45. The bus driver was a JERK! He said we should have been there earlier...DH said "I didnt know we had to sleep at the bus stop"

We were late to AK and ran to Donalds, arriving at 8:15....we explained to the CM about the buses, she said it happens all the time and sat us right away.

Next time I will take a cab.

Cabs may or may not be able to get into the parking area much before 8am. It depends on what time the lot will open, which can vary based on Laugh and Mr. Mike's reports. Because of this, we've always taken the resort bus - the last thing I want is to be sitting at the parking lot entrance in a cab.

Last Sept. we had an 8am ADR for Donalds. We were worried about the bus getting us there on time so we drove. We arrived at the parking toll gate at 7:15am and we were made to wait until 8am before they opened. I even explained about the ADR and they said it didn't matter. The CM told us we would be better off returning to the resort and taking the bus...she was right. The people at Donalds were nice and seated us shortly after we arrived.
There were taxi's waiting to enter also. Just FYI - so I do not think that would have helped. I sure wouldn't want to be paying to sit and wait for the parking to open.

I just can't believe that the parking lot does not open at a set time every day. You would think that they would open it at 7:30 daily.
