7th May Disneyland closing at 5pm???

Does anyone know why DL is closing so early on the 7th May?

WHAT!!!! Oh and I thought they were closing the park early for me in honor of my birthday that day!!! Now I REALLY want to go on May 7th to the premier. That would make my entire 28 years really happy!

There may be a special event you can buy tickets for, but anyone can get in the park that day.

We're scheduled to be in DL on the 7th. My DH has never seen Fantastmic and I'd really like this to be a fabulous trip for him. Maybe we need to reschedule...grrr.

Fantasmic! is supposed to be down for refurbishment for almost all of May. We will miss it when we are there as well. I was really, really wanting to see it. The other family in our party has never been to DLR and I am so bummed that they will miss it. This will probably be their only trip too.

I did not know that! Thank you! Geez...no Splash Mountain, no Fantasmic AND early closure for POTC and the crowds of people that will go with it...I'm feeling less and less exciting. Gotta look at the calendar...

I hope, hope, hope, this turns out that they can refurb it quickly. We missed F! two years ago in May (we went over Memorial Day weekend). We had hoped we would FINALLY get to the see the Disneyland version.

Where did you get the information that it is closing at 5? The DL app I have says it's open until 11 and the official DL site is only updated through the 3rd of May.

Disneyland website has updated hours through till the 8th of May, although not sure all the entertainment schedule has been updated.

The Disneyland website had hours through the 7th yesterday. I checked again yesterday and they only had up through the 3rd. Those extra days kept disappearing and reappearing at different times. My guess is you looked during a "disappear" moment.

You're right, I just checked again and the hours are posted through the 8th.
