If for some reason ou are unable to secure a FP for this, is there a single rider line?

Also, if you went to that ride first at rope drop, would the wait be very long?

There is no single rider line. I'm sure the wait first thing in the morning would be better than later in the day. I have no idea how long the wait would be though.

Yeah ride first thing in the morning if FP+ isn't possible. No there isn't a single rider line but Disney is quite efficient and if your a single rider and they have space for only single riders, they will call single riders up to come in front.

But people are really overestimating how hard it is to get. If you are flexible on timing its not that hard to get.

Just as a point of information, we were at the MK yesterday (12/29) morning at 8:30 and the standby line for 7D was already 120 minutes.

If you want to ride early, I'd recommend being at the front of the crowd at rope drop and staying near the front as the group moves all the way back to the ride.

It was likely posted 120 minutes, but I have a feeling the actual wait was likely 60-80 minutes.

Back in late September we did the Mine Train at rope drop. We waited no more than 30 minutes. We also rode it at night about 1/2 hour before park closing as almost a walk on.

If you want to ride it at rope drop be at the front of the crowd with your jogging shoes on. There will be a stampede that will split between 7DMT and Anna and Elsa. In October, we got there for rope drop, but farther back in the crowd and by the time we walked (did not run) down there the line was 70 minutes. Now, we did stop for 1 castle pic as we had a FP+ for later so it was not a rope drop priority for us. We planned to head to things we did not have a FP+ for, and to hit Peter Pan before its line built because we always like to ride it more than once which now is very difficult with FP+ unless you like to stand in line 40 minutes or more. We just checked 7DMT first because on the slim chance the line had not built up yet, we would have gone ahead with that too. We had multiple MK mornings and never saw 7DMT at less than an hour after the initial rope drop sprint.

I would suggest riding it late at night or during fireworks/parades as those seem to be the lowest times.

We were able to ride twice in 30 minutes early his summer at 11:30 pm. The posted wait time was 80 minutes, but the actual wait was 20 mins the first time then 10 for the 2nd trip.

We find riding late at night a much more efficient use of time than trying to ride early in the am.

We walked the line and I'd be surprised if it was anything shorter than the quoted 120 minutes. It wrapped way around to the back side of the attraction past where Dumbo is.

If you are unable to get FP+'s for 7DMT, I'd say keep trying. When we scheduled our passes at the 60 day mark, the earliest we could get 7D was on the last day of our trip (Saturday)! I continued to check though and was able to get a FP first for Thursday morning, then, the day we checked in I snagged an 8:40am for all of us for the next morning.
I can only think that they open up more FP "space" as it gets closer to the date - although it didn't work for Anna and Elsa!
