I keep pondering upping my trip from early September to end of April/early May, but the April 30 Media day has me concerned. I expect to spend most of our trip in the MK (it's just me and the 2 year old for this trip) so I'm just wondering if this would be a poor decision or if it really won't matter too much. Does anyone have any idea how much crowds will be affected by the media day? Would it be better to skip that week, and go the following (first full week of May?) I assume the ride will have been opened for awhile prior to the media day, but will the days before/after the media day be extra busy, or just the day of? Or should I just forget it and wait until September?? My reasons for thinking about changing are it'd be a tad bit cooler, and a bit cheaper since my little one will be 3 by September.

So how do you expect the crowds to play out in the MK those weeks?

It might be interesting to hear from someone who was there on media day for the 12/12 opening of New Fantasyland. We were there the day after the official opening and it was one of our best park days ever. New Fantasyland was packed but the rest of the park was a ghost town. Of course there was a Christmas party that night, so that might have made a difference too.
