7DMT Fast Passes

I'm staying on Disney property for my trip and managed to get a decent FP for 7DMT at 60 days out, but my best friend is not staying on the grounds and hasn't gotten her ticket yet. Today was her 30 day mark and the FPs for 7DMT are sold out already; a source of much frustration for me to coordinate since I told her she needed to purchase and link the ticket by today.

Is all hope lost? I seem to recall last year still being able to copy itineraries for FPs even when it only showed up for 1 person, but have heard stories about losing everything attempting to do that as well.

Any other strategies or recommendations?

You can only copy a FP if the opening actually exists.

You really just need to keep checking. Finding a FP for 1 is a lot easier than finding one for a larger group at least.

If she doesn't fine one, you'll have to try rope drop or late at night.

I feel for you though. I would not enjoy planning a trip with someone on a different FP window.

We were going to attempt rope drop until I got a fast pass and figured we could take our time - we're eating at CP at 8:20 on a 9:00 day. I'm a bit hesitant on if that will be doable since I've heard tell of the characters at CP taking a LONG time to make their rounds and we both actually want to meet them.

I know fast passes for 7DMT opened up while we were already at WDW last year for a later day in our trip, so I'm hopeful that SOMETHING will come up eventually.

This is happening to me. We booked a trip with another family, staying together at a time share. They later decided to stay on property (I had to send them their money back, we were that locked in). This has caused some dining issues, they have the dining plan so want TS every day, as well as FP issues. They have 7DMT and they also got Wishes for our last night there. According to Dibb Wishes is already gone for that night and I am still 3 weeks away from being able to do my FP. I am just going to do the best I can and what will be will be. I am lucky enough that I can pretty much check morning, noon and night from work so once I book what I can I will constantly try to tweak but in the end I can only do so much and we will just have to accept we will not be doing everything together (honestly, not sure we are really going to do hardly anything at all together but that's what happens when people change plans I guess).
