Has anyone had success doing 7DMT standby during a parade? It wasn't a big enough priority to schedule a Fastpass since we got A&E for my girls. But the 5 year old would probably like to ride it.
So many FP choices at Magic Kingdom!!

During the MSEP (night-time) there will be fewer guests in attraction lines.
That's not to say that the line at THE most-popular MK attraction, 7DMT, will have significantly shorter lines.
You can certainly try.

Another plan that works is to arrive before rope drop and head to 7DMT first-thing at MK opening for about the shortest lines of the daytime.

Another is to show up at 7DMT within the last half-hour before park closing.

I was thinking trying during the afternoon parade but that doesn't sound promising. Rapunzel is first on our princess-driven agenda. I guess we'll swing by and see what's what.

We found a 10 minute wait on 7D just after Wishes one evening last summer. Our preferred time for this attraction is the last half hour of operation, when we've generally been able to ride twice before closing time.

Using this strategy, our longest standby wait has been 20 minutes and that was during opening week in 2014. We've never tried during the afternoon parade as we like to see that dragon go by.

After Rope Drop one day we headed to 7DMT, along with everyone else, an found the posted wait to be 70 minutes. Once in line, which was wrapped around the ride, we waited maybe 20 minutes tops. So I agree with Robo about rope drop, despite the posted time it seems to be a great time to go.

I went to standby during the evening parade. The wait time read 70 minutes. From the time I entered the queue until I was walking out the exit was 32 minutes and that was with stopping and playing with the interactive stuff for a few minutes. That was in the end of January last year. I'm sure it's different depending on when you are there.

Same experience - standby during evening parade. 70 minutes posted wait time. Was at the front in 26 minutes. We never really waited for long in the queue. It was constantly moving. This was 2 days after Christmas by the way, so crowds were heavy!
