I have booked 7DMT FP+ in two days, one during the night (one hour after sunset), and the other around noon. Which ride should I take with my 3-year old, the day time or night time? My daughter took a roller coaster at the Sesame Place and loved it, but I do not want to scare her too much on 7DMT. Thanks, all!

Have a great trip!

I don't think it would "scare" anyone more either way. I enjoyed night more than day.

Both??! The Memory Maker for both is kind of cool!!
Have they shot nighttime footage for the stock video yet? Last October our night rides looked goofy because it was daytime stock footage and dark actual footage. Pretty silly! Lol

Yes, they have. I rode it twice a couple of weeks ago - once during the day and once at night and the videos were great. I thought riding it at night was better, but both were fun.

Both, hands down. I find it very different at night vs. day time. Same with Big Thunder.

Great news! Thanks!

I get woozy on coasters, so daytime would still be my preference. It was less nauseating, and easier to see the details, but we'll be excited to have a decent nighttime video this year. We've got 5 FPs for it. Lol

Last week we managed to time one of our rides to watch Wishes while riding. We managed to come out of the tunnel just as Wishes started. It was really cool.

Yes, I am trying to upload my video and will post if the link works.

Unless they've fixed the lights on the ride, I'd go with daytime. I normally prefer rides at night, but the floodlights on the Mine Train made seeing more difficult.

My 8 year old niece and I rode it several times during our June trip and here is our assessment of intensity highest to lowest:

Night time, back of train
Day time, back of train
Night time, front of train
Day time, front of train

I think where you sit is much more important than time of day if you are worried about kids. We rode in the very front and when they finally stopped braking the train and let it go down the hill, the front car is already 1/3 to 1/2 way down the hill. Terribly boring for older kids but great for those intimidated by roller coasters because there is no stomach drop.

Towards the back of the train is great, though, and it is so much more intense at night!

Yes, we did daytime too. This was our last ride of our trip, we decided to jump on at almost exactly midnight for one last hurrah!

It was getting dark when we went on but it was the only time we could get with fp. Still could see it all well enough since it wasn't dark yet

Hopefully this will work.................
Awesome! Hadn't seen the night video overlay yet! Way cool!
Agree with pp's both day and night are great, night is much easier to see into the cottage. Like all the outdoor rides, both day and night give you different perspectives.
