We (4 adults and 1 child) will be at MK staying onsite for one day only in January (not MLK). I am doubtful we will get 7DMT FP even at 60 days out.

Last year we did EMM but since we are visiting on a Thursday I don’t think it will be offered so trying to figure out best plan. Is it a viable plan to get a PPO reservation at BOG to have a better chance at a short wait for 7DMT? Or are we better off rope dropping?

try for a n 8 am breakfast

2 weeks ago we left BOG at 8:40 and got in line for 7D and around 8:55 they took us over to the ride

Assuming the park has a 9am opening without EMH, PPO BoG is the way to go. Preorder beforehand, go straight back to the castle at 8, and you can be on your way to the attraction of your choice by 8:45.

At a minimum, you will be in the first groups to ride ahead of the RD crowds. Some days, they start running 7dmt closer to 8:50 so you can ride twice or ride and hop over to Peter Pan before the RD crowds make it. Don't plan on making it a second time, that's a toss up, but the first ride should be guaranteed short of mechanical problems preventing the ride from starting on time.

Two weeks ago we did this
It was not an EMM but they let us in at 9:00 so we were in the first train and in time for a walk on oon BTMR but they didn’t let us ride before opening
It was still worth it!

I don’t think you will have any problem getting a FP for 7DMT 60 days out. While you may not see it (or the exact time you want) at the 60 day mark you will be able to get one by checking back refreshing (more than likely in that first week after the 60 day mark). Save your money - you can do a lot better than a BOG breakfast at $28 pp (adult). If you have your heart set on BOG I highly recommend lunch. The food is excellent and pricing (relative to Disney) is not that bad.

Just know pre park breakfast let’s you have breakfast it dose not guarantee quicker access to rides although it has. Disney a few years ago ( for about a month or two) held people up and would not let them close to the ride until people from the front were almost / in line. This made a lot people angry. I also had a friend do this a few weeks ago they pre order but it took them for every to get there food. Needless to say they got out about 9:05 ( and they are fast eater)

So I would do it because you like the food and getting on the ride is just the Bonus

Getting a PPO is the way to go if you can stomach the price.

Having a PPO for around 8am definitely will get you on 7DMT with a very short wait time and you will beat all RD'ers. We did this 2x in May and it worked like a gem both times. We had a wonderful breakfast (make sure you have your order placed beforehand!) and we headed over to 7DMT immediately following and got in line. As soon as it hit 9am, they let us through the regular queue, which was empty. We were on and off the ride in less than 10 minutes. By the time we were off, the line was already over 60 minutes.

Also you should know that you do not need to order a full meal for everyone in your party
For most people I think one adult meal per person would be too much food!

Can you expound on this advice? I'm considering trying for an 8AM PPO on our upcoming January trip strictly for the possible 7DMT advantage. There will be four adults in our party.

We did PPO at BOG, 8:05 reservation, in May and were able to ride 7DMT 3 times before the rope drop crowd arrived! I think we got super lucky that day but it was fun and well worth getting up that early.

You can order whatever you want. If you just want to order 2 mesls and split it you can... Honestly if you just wanted to order a cupcake you could. It's not like a buffet or character meal where everyone pays, you just order what you want like any other counter service or "normal" table service.

Got it! Thanks!!
