Can you take a 4-day after sailing on the 7-day? My family had an excellent trip this summer on the 7-day. Perhaps, we will schedule a short trip this winter. Will we be satisfied? Or we feel cheated because the trip ends so quickly? Has anyone on the Disboards done this?

My first cruise was the 4 day in February 2000. Then we took the 7 day in November 2000. Third cruise was the 7 day in September 2001. Fourth was the 3 day just this past July. I am next booked for the 4 day again in February 2003 - that will be the DVC Member only cruise.

I supplement my 3 and 4 day cruises with a WDW stay too, so I usually spend a minimum of a week on vacation when I go. I advise doing whatever fits in with your vacation plans best. The 3 day is very short, but along with a WDW trip added on, it was still a very pleasant vacation. Any Disney cruise is better than no cruise at all..LOL!!

We have taken 2 four day cruises and 1 three day cruise and 3 seven day cruises.

I personally would take a 4 day again as a filler while waiting for another 7 day cruise. I just love the more relaxing pace of the 7 day. It would be hard to go back to a four day without having a 7 day in the works as well. Just my opinoin!!!!

Our first Disney cruise was the 7-day Eastern, we'll be doing another 7-day (Western) in January but then in January 2004 we plan on doing the 4-day Wonder (if she's still doing them) with my parents and our son and daughter and their spouses. Parents want to do the 4-day instead of the 7-day just to "test the waters" and see if they like cruising. I know we'll enjoy it but I bet it'll seem short after the 7-day cruises!!

If you have the time and can afford the 7 day cruise, by all means go. However, I think it would depend on where you want to go, how much, and do you have the time? I think most members would agree, any Disney cruise know matter how long or short is better than no Disney cruise. Hope you can decide and go and enjoy! :D

We leave for the 7night Eastern cruise in 17 days!! Ive cruised before on NCL 4nights and Im looking forward very much to DCL's 7night. This will be the first cruise ever for DS10.5 and DH!
In the future Id like to take a shorter cruise and go to Atlantis.

I would never do the 4 day again....I LOVED the cruise but it was just to short. By the time you got used to the boat it was time to get off! You only have hald a day on there the first day, then 3 full days then that is bacically it, so its more like a 3 day cruise!

I was thinking the same thing......just a filler before the 7day. Well, we'll see, time and money are also factors......

We sailed on the 3day in '99 and it was too brief, too hectic. However, we did catch the Disney Cruise bug from this trip. So something about it must have worked!!!

I too was worried after taking a 7 day, that the 4 day wouldn't be enough, but at the time DCL wasn't offering the Western, and I really didn't want to do the same itinerary. We had a great time, but of course we did the 3 day/land, 4 day/sea with an added 3 days on land before, and 2 days/land after which ended up 4 with 9/11.

Bottome line take the 4 its better than none!
