Our last day will be Dec 22. We're spending the day at MK and focusing on Fantasyland and Tomorrowland. Disney recently changed the EMH hours so it's at 7am. I've been changing our touring plans to accommodate as I hear not many people make it to 7am EMH so you can get a lot done, but I just don't know if these plans are realistic or not and whether I need to make adjustments.

Touring Plans is saying it will be a crowd level 6 (last MVMCP night) and KennythePirate is marking it as a "green median" park, but I'm not 100% relying on that as it's also the last Friday before Christmas and other sites say to avoid MK this day.

I would love your advice on this plan!

6am - check out of POFQ, leave luggage with Bell Services, & get on bus to MK
6:55am - COFFEE at Main Street Bakery (10 min wait)
7:13am - SDMT (wait 16 mins)
7:33am - Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh (wait 4 mins)
7:44am - Meet Cinderella & Princess Elena (wait 4 mins)
8:03am - Tomorrowland Speedway (wait 9 mins)
8:19am - Space Mountain (wait 4 mins)
8:35am - Astro Orbitor (wait 4 mins)
8:42am - Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin (wait 4 mins)
8:55am - Mad Tea Party (wait 4 mins)
9:04am - Dumbo (wait 4 mins)
9:11am - Barnstormer (wait 4 mins)
9:21am - Under the Sea (wait 4 mins)
9:34am - Gaston's Tavern (get cinnamon bun)
9:47am - Meet Ariel (wait 11 mins)
10:35am - SDMT (FP+ at 10:35am)
11:40am - BOG lunch
12:30pm - Enchanted Tales with Belle (FP+ at 12:30pm)
1:35pm - Space Mountain (FP+ at 1:35pm for DH and DS; can RS)
1:35pm - Buzz Lightyear (FP+ at 1:35pm for DD and me)
2:19pm - Peoplemover
2:30pm - take in the sights one last time, do last minute souvenir shopping, etc.
3:30pm - leave MK
4:10pm - 'Ohana dinner
5:45pm - pick up rental car from Alamo at Car Care, pick up luggage from POFQ and say goodbye :(

Is my gut right in thinking this is overly optimistic or does that 7am EMH actually make this plan feasible?

You may be a bit over ambitious, in particular with the meet and greets.

We went to MK on literally the same day last year, EMH of 7 am on December 22nd. We went to a M&G for Ariel at Ariel's grotto at around 7:30 and already had to wait 20ish minutes. I see you listed a wait time of 4 minutes for Cinderella and Elena at 7:44, and that seems unlikely. 9:45 you have Ariel M&G as an 11 minute wait, but like I said it was way higher than that for us already at 7:30 am.

Majority of those rides/meets will have longer wait times.

And if you want 7dmt with a 16 min wait or less id get coffee earlier than that

Right out of the gate, unless they have changed how EMH works since our last visit, you won’t be let onto Main Street until 7 AM. But, whenever they open, if you stop for coffee before going to 7DMT the wait will likely be longer than 16 minutes. A lot of the people who are there at 7 will be heading right there.

Some of your other wait times look overly optimistic, like Astro Orbiter, which is very slow loading. By 8:35 you will be waiting at least a couple of cycles.

It also looks like you aren’t allowing enough time for the attractions themselves, getting out of the attractions, and walking to the next one. You can try to do all of these things, but you should be prepared to skip some of the attractions that are lower priorities.

Not possible.

I find that planning 4 things for the first hour, 3 for the second hour, and 2 for every hour after that is a good general guideline. Even with that, I would think of a few things that can be dropped if need be.

If you want to ride 7DMT with little to no wait, you're going to have to skip that coffee. Move as close to the hub as you can, as soon as you can.

Keep in mind that you are talking about a very, very busy day. The park will be packed by 10 am.

I think making a plan like that just adds to the stress. We book 3 FP+ scattered throughout the day. We take our time, enjoy the park and ride what we want when we want. I'm a member of touring plans and laid some plans out, looked at their plans and concluded that scheduling to much to do takes the joy out of being at Disney. Not that your plan won't work, just not something we would do. Good luck with your plan!

Well, at least my gut was right thinking these times from TP were way too optimistic! Here’s my new plan...hopefully this is more realistic & gives us more flexibility!

6am - check out of POFQ, leave luggage with Bell Services, & get on bus to MK
6:45am - COFFEE at Main Street Bakery
7:13am - Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh
7:19am - Meet Cinderella & Princess Elena
7:40am - Tomorrowland Speedway
8:10am - Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin
8:20am - Mad Tea Party
8:30am - Dumbo
8:45am - Barnstormer
9am - Under the Sea
9:30am - Gaston's Tavern (get cinnamon bun)
9:45am - Meet Ariel (wait 11 mins)
10:35am - SDMT (FP+)
11:40am - BOG lunch
12:30pm - Enchanted Tales with Belle (FP+)
1:35pm - Space Mountain (FP+ for DH and DS; can RS)
1:35pm - Buzz Lightyear (FP+ for DD and me)
2:19pm - Peoplemover
2:30pm - take in the sights one last time, do last minute souvenir shopping, etc.
3:30pm - leave MK
4:10pm - 'Ohana dinner

Thoughts?

PS: the times are Touring Plans output: I would never plan to get somewhere at exactly 2:19pm :D

My understanding from a Kenny the Pirate post this past January is we can go onto Main Street and the hub before 7am and a few stores, including Starbucks, this will be open before RD as the welcome show is at Cinderella’s castle.

They are now doing an hour early access with a 9 am opening. Not so much with 8 am nor with EMH. On a 7AM EMH the welcome show won't be until 8 any way.

I was at an 8 AM EMH at MK in late August and it didn’t work that way. The park opened at 8 and we went right to 7DMT with a lot of company. I don’t think the welcome show was until 9.

Ahh, I didn’t realize that. I just assumed the process would be the same during EMH AM days. When will Main Street bakery open then - 7am or 8am? If open at 7am, is it achievable to do a Starbucks run before going to the Dumbo ride since most people will be heading to PPF and SDMT, or should I just settle for resort coffee in our refillable mug that morning?

I can’t say I pay attention to it but I think the bakery is open when EMH starts. There will not be much of a line at Dumbo in that first hour.

ooops, I meant to write Winnie The Pooh...I still wasn't completely awake (a sick toddler kept me up most of the night!) when I wrote that :coffee:
