700 Loop Questions

Does anyone know which way the site numbers go in the 700 loop? Apparently there are 35 sites, numbered 701 to 735, but is site 701 close to the entrance across from the 600 loop entrance, or is site 701 at the other end of the loop (near Big Pine Drive and Pioneer Hall/Marina, etc.)?

Usually the numbers are numbered lowest at the beginning and highest at the exit.

We were there a few weeks ago and in site 731. We were the second to last site at the end. Very close to the marina. LOved it!!!

The two posts above are correct. You have a misstatement in your question. The entrance to the 700 loop is across from the exit to the 600 loop. This is the end closer to the Meadows area. The site numbers begin here, and go up. The exit is closer to the Settlement area. This is a long, stretched out loop (like half of an oval), so it is a bit more of a walk to the Settlement area from the loop entrance than from the loop exit. But, it is not too long from anywhere on this loop.
