7 points left, what do I do?

I got some points transfered in from BC different resort than my home, diff UY too.

I want to use the rest of the transf points plus mine, next Aug.
Can I at 7 months use the last 7 points transfered in, plus mine in a diff resort and diff use year for 1 night? I kind-a thought not.. BUT ...

With a small amount left what do I do with them? It is not even enough for 1 night even in a studio. I have considered transferring more in, but chances are not the same UY, so I don't think that will help.

When do your transferred points expire and when do your normal points expire?

Transferred points CAN be banked, so if you have your own points for the next use year you can combine them for a reservation. You could rent them out (but for 7 points I think that is more trouble than its worth). I don't know what kind of accommodation you are looking at, but you could rent out the extra points (up to 24)needed to complete your 1 night reservation directly from DVC. (You can get most studios for less than 7+24 points in most seasons, and there are several 1 Bdrms as well)

I banked them already. They exp 01-2012
Current points I have Exp in June.. any year dep. on yr points I use. I would have 2011 and 2012 points if needed.

We will be staying in a 2 - bedroom, at 43 points a night.. so 24 point thing wouldn't work..

Maybe coming in 1 day earlier with just with DH and DD5, and do the studio for a night.. thanks!

I would call member services with your question just to make sure. But I really think it can be done. You would just combine your transferred 7 points with some of your 2011 points.

I would think that you would be able to combine them. Typically, if an owner has more than one membership, they can transfer points between the both so they can use points for a single night.

Since these transferred points are now part of the same membership you have your other contracts, I don't see why they can't be used for a single night.

Both sets of points can be combined inside the 7 month window.
