7 Month Window-Hard To Use?

Hi everyone.

I am just curious to see how everyone does with other ressies to non-dvc resorts. DH and I just bought at VB and there are times when I think we would like to stay at the GF or at the Poly. Has anyone had a hard time making ressies at these non-dvc resorts with only 7 months? I would imagine that Christmas/Easter is hard but how about September, October, January, etc?? We tend to travel off season.

What have you guys experienced??

The only time the 7 month window may be hard is if you are going into a DVC WDW resort such as BW, VWL or OKW. BW Villas are extremely hard to get at the 7 month window, OKW has many villas, so that is probably alot easier to get into. As far as the GF or the Poly, I believe you can make those ressies 11 months out but it will cost many more pts that a DVC on property resort.

As I said in the e-mail I just sent to you ! , you can book the GF and all other wdw resorts at the 11 month window! we have done it many times!!!
It is only the dvc resorts that you do not own at, that you have to use the 7 month window!!!

We booked our trip to Disneyland, staying at the Grand Californian at only 6 months out - No Problem.

I called MS last week to see about adding on nights at the Poly for a company trip I'm taking May 5-8th... I was given a whole range of Disney hotels I could book for two - three extra nights, including Poly, AKL & more... The only problem is my contract at VB is not finalized yet & we did 100% MB, so we can't borrow points yet to do this...
I would much rather stay at a DVC resort, but my wife is 7 months pregant, so it will only me me & my DS who is 5 going on this trip... My DW wants to be with us when we stay at DVC resort for the first time...

Made ressies at VWL at 7 month window (BWV owners) for this September with NO problem, I called on day one anticipating a day by day process and she told me they were wide open. Could be the time of year or just the fact that there aren't too many members there yet. This could all change in a year. . .
