7-Month Window for the Marathon?

I am in the early planning stages of our FIRST family trip to Disney (even though we've all been there separtely, never together), for the marathon next year.

We need a two bedroom, which I will book at the 11-month mark for SSR.

At the seventh month, we want to switch, preferably to AK because of the extra person, as there will likely be nine of us.

What does everyone think the chances of us nabbing a two-bedroom will be? How about all others? Would like BCV, BWV, or VWL.

I've always had great luck at the 7-month mark calling day by day, but I'm usually looking for studios. Just want to know what to expect. We will be there from Thursday to Tuesday.

That time can be fairly booked but at 7 months out but you may have decent chance for AKV or BWV preferred non-boardwalk view (less at the smaller BCV and VWL resorts). There is some possibility that portions of the Kidani building may open earlier than anticipated which could make AKV even a better chance.

We booked a 2br at SSR at 5 months out for the week of the marathon. Nothing else was available--- but it was only 5 months out--- so I'd say your chances are good!
