7 month window for AKV Question

We have been a member for six years and usually stay at our home resort. We are planning a trip in 2017 and need a 2brd for our family. The kids want savannah view which we have enough points, yay!

1) What is the chances we will get a 2brd in early June during our 7 month window?

3) Should I reserve my home resort at 11 months then switch to AKV at the 7 month mark?

4) What is the best Standard 2brd room you stayed in room # please. What is the best Savannah 2brd you stayed in Room # please?

I think you'll be fine in early June for a 2Br at Kidani. Jambo can be a bit more difficult because they are all lock-offs and if the studios book up then you can't get a 2BR but you might have that as an option too, just a less likely. What is your home resort?

For that time of year in 2013, 2014, 2015, and 2016, 2BR savanna and standard views at both Kidani and Jambo were available at 7 months out.

Requesting specific room numbers is the least likely request to be met and default position when they cannot meet a location request is to put you anywhere in the resort that is open and not to put you close to what you requested, with the result that requesting a specific room could mean you end up as far away from that room as you can possibly get.

Standard view at Jambo is either pool view or partial savanna view (rooms previously savanna view that were converted to standard). To increase chances of a partial savanna view when you have standard view at Jambo, request room along Kudo Trail. Our preferred savanna view request at Jambo is for a room overlooking Arusha savanna, along Zebra Trail, away from the lobby.

There are many good savanna view areas at Kidani. Many consider the key to Kidani avoiding being at or near the end rooms on the two wings, north wing and south wing, because the walk from lobby to room is huge, 1/3 mile for the north wing, a little less for the south wing. If you want to be close to pool, you can request close to pool or close to Rafiki elevator for either standard or savanna view. If instead you want close to bus stop, you could request either close to community hall or close to the Timon elevator. If you have standard view at Kidani and want a partial. Savanna view (a previous savanna view room converted to standard), and do not mind being far from the lobby and having that huge walk to everything, request near the Pumba elevator.

We will have a car and I'm wondering if the Pumba elevator can go directly down to the parking garage? So basically we wouldn't have to walk that far because we could park underneath and take the elevator to our room. Is this possible?

The under-building parking lot runs almost all the way throughout the building and you can park near Pumba or other elevators, all of which go down to the ground, parking lot floor, and use them to get from parking lot to room floor.
