7 Month Reservation dates?

I am making my first reservation soon. Am I correct with my dates? If my check-out date is 29th October I can phone for my reservation 29th March?

It is actually 7 months from check in date now.

And you can only book for 7 nights on your first call.

When you log into dvcmember.com and go to My Vacation Points it will tell you what you can book as of that date.

CHECK-IN date is what is used NOT check-out date.

If your Home Resort is what you want to book then you can call RIGHT NOW & if in fact you do want to make this reservation at your Home Resort definitely call before the date that is 7 months before your CHECK-IN date because at 7 months DVC members from any other resort can then book at your Home Resort too (so you'd be competeing against them so to speak for ressie). Right now you are within your Home Resort's priority booking window (months 11,10,9 & 8 BEFORE CHECK-IN date wanted) so for a reservation for instance that starts on
October 20th the first day you could call to reserve would have been on
Nov 20 2008 but if you call today you will be able to request (& hopefully it's available to book) the ressie before the booking window opens tomorrow for all other DVC members who don't own at your Home Resort.
