At a non-home resort. If for some reason you are booking your home resort at seven months out, you aren't limited to seven nights. There is a limitation, but I think it's something like 14 or more nights at once.

At home resort, your departure date from WDW can never be more than 11 months plus 7 days from the day you are trying to make the reservation. As long as that remains correct, there is no limit to the number of nights you can book other than the number of points you have to use. In other words at 7 months out you could, if you had enough home resort points, book a four month stay at your home resort.
The online system has a limit to the number of days you can book, currently 30 days (it used to be 14), but that is a system limitation not a DVC rule limitation and you can call MS and book more than 30 days.
The same applies to reserving a non-owned resort with the 7 month window. Your departure date from WDW can never be more than 7 months plus 7 days from the date you are trying to make a reservation, but at three months out you could reserve four months if you had the points to do so and there was availability.
