I called MS to try to switch over to VWL or BWV, NOTHING.
All they have for the week we are going is AKL or SSR.

Good thing I booked BLT at the 11 month!!

when in dec are you going exactly? and what size rooms were you looking for? we are currently at saratoga and want to switch to wilderness or boardwalk for a studio from dec 5-13th

We are going from the 2nd to the 9th..
If anything, I will waitlist for BWV & VWL.

Otherwise, I plan to stick with BLT

As always it varies from day to day. I was lucky enough to switch from BLT to BWV for Thanksgiving weekend last week (my 7 month mark). However I had called a few days before to check availbility and there was nothing where I wanted to be (BCV or BWV) yet when I called on the morning I could switch there was a 2 bedroom at BWV. I am only staying 3 days so that definatley played in my favor. Shorter stays have more luck.

However even if you have to WL, there seems to be a lot of luck lately with the WLs. Even if you waitlist I would also call to check on availibility as well. That has seemed to work for others!

Same dates 12/2 to 12/10, only okw,ssr,akl in 1 br or studio. Can not beleive how tough it is to get a res at 7 mo anymore unless at the big resorts or not too busy time. We have usually gotten wait list but not too much this past yr.

I was shock at all the resorts being booked up, I just waitlisted for BWV 102 bedroom for Dec 1 to Dec 4. Booked AKV Savannah View, I am excited even if waitlist doesn't come through.

I was shocked, too. We booked a 1bdrm at BLT at 11 months but decided we'd rather have a 2bdrm. I have been calling periodically on and off since about 8 1/2 months out with no luck (in addition to being on the wait list). I figured at 7 months, things would open up, but nope. ALL VIEWS have been booked. They haven't even had a single night available on the times I've called.

In the end, the 1 bdrm is fine, but our boys wanted to possibly bring friends and that would have pushed us to two.

It's one of the most popular times of the year DVC-wise. It's a must to book at the 11-month point and then try to switch at 7 months. Go on a wait list if you have to.

We also tried to book something last weekend for Nov 30 to Dec 7th. We were looking for a 2 bedroom and ended up booking OKW. They had OKW, AKV and SSR available. We've never had to WL before so I'm a little bummed but I'm sure I will like being anywhere at Disney.
