7 month mark at BWV or BCV

Has anyone had any trouble getting in at the Board Walk or Beach Club at the 7 month mark? If so, which types of rooms and views, and which times of the year did you have trouble?

I will be calling Monday to try to get 2 nights at BWV, in a BW view 2 bedroom for August. I will let you know what happens but I very seriously doubt I will get them.

I did get BCV studio last year at the 7 month window for 3 nights at the end of July. They were gone by 6 1/2 months.

I have 2 BCV contracts and one SSR contract. I have tried twice to use my SSR points at BCV at the 7 month mark without success. Once was for early December and the other was in mid January. I also had no success once at BWV for a May stay. The requests have been for studios and 2 bedrooms.

Since BCV is my favorite resort, I'm very very glad I have 2/3 of my points there and can book at 11 months, especially during the Food & Wine festival.

BVC is harder than BWV, although if you avoid the busiest times there is a good chance.

I've been lucky enough to booked a 2br at BCV at the 7 month mark twice for the last week in August.....last year I had to waitlist 1 night in Oct for a 2br boardwalk view at BWV at the 7 month mark....it unfortunately never came through

7 month mark is more difficult for Food and Wine Festival(September 30 - November 13, 2011) and also early December.

I got a 2bdrm BW view room for July 2011 at the 7 month mark. I also got a BW view studio last May after a one week waitlist. I call exactly at the 7 month mark.

We're 4 for 4 getting a standard view studio at the BW, first week in March, on 'rented points' from a DVC member, so actually they're 4 for 4.

The past two years I've gotten a 2 BR at BCV in May. This year I have a studio booked at BWV, it is my home resort & I booked it at my 11 mth window. However, I justed added days to my stay 2 weeks ago. I wish you luck, I love both resorts.

I have gotten BCV for the beginning of Dec. at 7 months. I got a studio at BWV for August and a 2 bedroom at BWV for May, both at 7 months. The BWV studio in Aug. was a preferred view and the waitlist for standard view never came through. The 2 bedroom at BWV will be standard view which is what I requested.

Last year I got a studio at BCV at 7 months (exactly) for our Spring break which was 3/20-3/27. I have to say MS was quite surprised it was available and I was quite happy

I got a 2BR and Studio at BCV for 7/1-7/6 right at the 7 month mark. I have also gotten BCV in September in the past.

We've always been really flexible with our DVC resorts. We got a 2-bedroom in BCV for the second week of June several years ago at 7 months no problem. Past trip we stayed in a one-bedroom at BWV for the week of Christmas (!) and had no problems at 7 months. In fact, there were lots of one-bedroom villas at the BWV for that time period when we called 7 days out. The only issue was that no BW views were available. Good luck!

We have gotten BCV during food and wine two years in a row, studio.

We also got BCV for our spring break, late March in 1 brm. All at the 7 month window and I was on the phone the minute they opened.

I'm new to wailisting, please help. You say you got all but one night and waitlisted one. What did you do for the night you did not get?

Curious because I am trying for BCV and BWV (7 month mark) and not sure what to do if they can give me all but one or two nights?

I was on the phone at 9 am on the dot today and secured a 1 BR at BCV for 6 nights in August. (today was our 7 month mark) I was also offered BWV, pool/garden view or Boardwalk view.
