7-month for OKW & VB during summertime

As I try to decide purchasing DVC, one other thought has popped into my head.

Typcially (at least in the short term), I can see my wife and I travelling with other family members. In order to be most comfortable, I'd like to be able to offer two beds in a studio. The only place that seems to have that is OKW.

Now if I buy in, I'll be buying into SSR. I've looked at resale for OKW and decided that with the Disney credit and the extra 12 years, the $2,000 difference isn't worth buying into OKW.

My question is will I have trouble booking OKW at the 7 month window typcially (our trips will most likely be in anywhere around late June to early August). I know for the smaller resorts people tend to believe it can be tough. I didn't know if this would be true with OKW, because it is a larger resort like SSR.

Keep in mind, I would never be disappointed with SSR. I'm easy to please...I'm just looking for a nice place to stay. I just am thinking of comfort for other guests.

Bonus Question: How is the 7 month window over the summer for VB? That resort intreagues me as well...not a deal breaker, but I'd probably like to get there for a few days at least during some trips.

I can't speak for VB but twice we've booked OKW at less than the 7 month window and had no problem (once was in August, once was in October).

Since OKW is a large resort I don't think generally there is a problem booking there.

BWV owner here - here's my experience with summer 7 month ressies at both VB and HH:

VB - got 2BR for beginning of August with no problem, albeit booked day by day.

HH - got 1BR for "late" part of mid August (checked in around the 17th), had to book day by day, after finding out it was pretty much impossible to get a 1BR any earlier that month (high season at HH runs mid June through mid August, it's very difficult to book at 7 months for anything then).
