7 month booking window question?

Hi I have 14 nights booked at AKV for the last two weeks in september. We love AKV however would like to try BWV or BCV for our next trip. What are the chances of avilablity for this time? I think the F&W is on so may decrease are chances?

You may have trouble booking an extended stay, but its always worth a try. We were able to book a week at the Boardwalk in October 2006 with no problem. We are members at Saratoga, and the last few years we have switched out at the 7 month window (2 yrs @ OKW & last year @ AKV), so it has worked for us a number of times.

I think you will have a hard time getting the entire 14 days at one of those resorts. You may get lucky and be able to do a split stay between the two.

Food & Wine doesn't start until September 25, 2010.

FWIW, I do not think it will be all that hard to get BWV for the last two weeks of September.. That's actually one of the easier times to get BWV at 7 months.

Call as soon as the 7 month window opens to book the first 7 nights, then call every day after that to add the next 7. Use the waitlist for any days that may be unavailable when you first call. Since you are staying 14 nights, you'll have a leg up on those who won't be checking in until Food & Wine begins.

Standard view and Boardwalk view will probably be very difficult to get for 14 consecutive nights, even in September, but the Pool/Garden category shouldn't be a problem.

Actually Food and Wine doesn't start until October 1, 2010. September 25 was 2009.

OP I would call and see about switching or at least doing a split stay. I was able to book BWV for 6 days in March at about 6 months out.

I was able to book a Saturday night at BWV (studio) for late Oct 2009 at about 4 months out. I only got Saturday night though...everything else was gone. Tried to get BCV for the same trip...nothing available. Visited BCV while staying at BWV and fell in love. Probably going to do an add-on at BCV so I'll have that 11 month home field advantage! Thanks for your advice. hope we get in, only thing is I am not sure if I will be able to ring at 9am on the day as it will be 2pm here and I will be working so hope I am okay ringing in the evening which will be lunch time there.
