7 Dwarfs Lane?

Any more recent comments on the Villas at Seven Dwarfs Lane? I'm thinking of renting from a private owner I found through rentalo

Haven't stayed there but did pass it as we stay at Coral Cay Resort which is in the same area, so can only comment on the location. We find the area great as it is convenient to good grocery stores, the restaurants on highway 192 and it is good for both Disney & SeaWorld/Univerisal (not too far from either)

We drove by it on 192 last week as we were picking up park tickets at a place nearby. I did not care for the area around it on 192 at all. It seemed a bit seedy and run down. Seemed to have lots of the really cheap motel rooms around there that I hope to never have to resort to staying at in order to continue my Disney addiction.

It also just seemed so far away, but that may be because we were driving from the Formosa Gardens area on 192 so we had a lot of stop lights to get through. It may be quicker if you can get on another highway to get to WDW, but it was a very long, slow 6-7 miles down 192!

Hi Mareed, the 192 can seem very long but that is not the quickest way to WDW from there. We use SR535 and then straight onto World Drive - only 6 miles to the gates and DTD so it is not as far out as you may think and we have done the journey in 10 mins.

Some of the 192 does have the old style motels but Seven Dwarfs Lane, Coral Cay & Bellavida are all off the highway in nice little gated communities - not near these motels.

A plus for that location is it's pretty close to Give Kids The World, where I'll be volunteering at least part of my month. I've been down 192 - yeah, Mareed, you're right - it's tacky tacky tacky. I don't think I'd ever stay at one of those motels, lol.

I did go ahead and put a deposit on the 7 dwarfs lane townhome, but would still like to hear some recent personal experiences.

I just booked there for xmas 2009, so I'd love to hear any feedback also.

They're starting to build up that part of 192. There is a nice new Super Target that I like a lot better than the Wal-Mart. There is a new Applebee's too.
