Our family of 5 (me, 34, DH 41, DS 15, DD 12 & DS 10) just returned from 7 days at WDW with the big finale at MK on Christmas day. We have never had a better Christmas or vacation! We chose to use the dining plan, and our agent made all PS reservations for us in advance. The dining plan (1 sit down, 1 counter, 1 snack), saved us over $500, and allowed us to eat at places we normally would not! We were even able to use one sit down meal to book a dinner package for the Candle Light Processional on Christmas Eve, eating at Marrakesh. We got to see Jim Cavezial present the Chrsitmas story, and the evening was INCREDIABLE! We arrrived early on the 19th, used DME (no baggage as we came in on AWA/USair), and began the magic right at the airport. We chose not to plan our first day, and selected the park based on the first bus to arrive at the bus stop (EPCOT). The park was not very crowded at all, and we had a great time seeing all the Christmas decorations and the Christmas Illumination was spectacular. We also took some time out to visit the EPCOT resorts. The kids loved the chocolate/gingerbread Santa's workshop & carousel. We spent the evening in Downtown Disney, and thouroughly enjoyed the carolers. My daughter almost stumped them with a request for Feliz Navidad. The rest of our trip was strategically planned based on evening Magic Hours (MUCH better than the morning extra hour) and our PS reservations. Dinner at the Whispering Canyon was great (the food and the atmosphere), but not for those looking for a quiet meal. The parks did not start getting too crowded until Chrsitmas Eve day, and even then, we never waited more that 20 minuted for anything except our resort bus from EPCOT. (The guest got to the point of booing the bus coordinator after they sent 3 buses to the same resort stop in a row, for 2-3 people, and we had over 70 in line for over 30 minutes) But with that being the only drawback on the trip, I won't complain much. And our driver made it all up...he had a wonderful personality, and advised us all the his "real" job was at the Light! Motor! Action! show...

My husband has decided that Disney for Christmas is going to become our family tradition. The kids said they would much rather do the trip, than have gifts under the tree. We have advised our kids that all prospective spouses will be interviewed...and if they would rather go to Six Flags, and would never consider Disney for Christmas....they are unexceptable :).

I must say, I was very thankful that Disney has kept the Christmas in their celebration. I have no problem celebrating the other holidays as well, but please don't take my Christmas away...as long as Disney holds to this tradition, our family we be there for Christmas....
