We head to the fort for 6 days starting Saturday the 14th. This will be our madien voyage with the new TT. We can't wait. We usually do one full week at the fort each year besides our 3 or 4 quick weekend trips. We will have our green mickey ears flying so stop buy and say hi

We just moved up a day, arriving on the 15th. My ears will be out and my Mickey light too. We arrive late afternoon, so day one will be looping, campfire trails end for dinner than fireworks. Hopefully a cold spell will be moving in.

We are coming in for our first campgrounds visit on the 16th. This is the celebration of DD 3rd birthday (ie, last trip we can get her in for free )

We requested Loop 100 just for the easy walk to the marina.

My 4 year old has recently discovered that she enjoys fishing. Is fishing from the bank productive or should I count on renting a boat for a few hours?

We'll be around for 3 weeks so hopefully we'll meet a few new friends during the trip.

We will be arriving on August 14 and have requested the 1700 loop. August 16 is our 30th Anniversary and there isn't a better place to celebrate it. We had our honeymoon at WDW and visit The Fort every year. Hope to see everyone there.

My 4 year old has recently discovered that she enjoys fishing. Is fishing from the bank productive or should I count on renting a boat for a few hours?

Fishing from the shore CAN be productive,,on the other hand,,thats why it's called fishing,and not catching.
Take your little gal to the pond at the Meadows store and try fish'n there. Remember, the earlier you can get to fish'n the better your chances.
If you rent a boat, and they catch you fishing, they WILL stop you. And they WILL catch you fishing. Disney doesn't want to loose any money on their "Guided Fishing Excursions"
But hey, the excursions are lots of fun, ,but very $$. If you have the xtra money, I recommend the excursion.

Also the fishing is Catch and Release Only.
