7-day Park Hopper or AP Pass

I am planning two trips for 2005 - one in April for four day and one in December for three. I have a AAA membership. Does anyone know if I would be better off with an AP rate or a AAA rate? I need two rooms for my April, 2005 trip, and only one for my December, 2005 trip. I priced out (roughly) the 7-day passes, and it came to about $1,200 for my family (2 adults, 2 kids). Any insight all of you "veterans" may have would be helpful! Thanks!

You only need one AP to book a room w/ an AP code, so why don't you get one AP and the rest PHPs?

Where did you price the passes? I believe the 7 day pPHPs at Paramount include a free Disney Quest voucher (shipping is not included in the price, so add that in to compare). If you have no interest in DQ, then check Ticketmania's prices. Theirs include free shipping.

I priced the passes in disneyworld.com - I am always afraid to buy them from someone othe than Disney!

we have bought our passes from paramount and ticketmaia several times, with no problem and they are a better deal, and if yo are frequent disney visitors, go with the AP maybe you could squeeze one more trip in before they expire?
