I just booked our August Disney vacation through WDW website. We will be going for 8 days and 7 nights. Everything I was quoted and sold shows a 7 day MYW pass. Will this be valid for the 8th day? Am I going to run into a problem the last day? One would think when going through Disney's website they would quote you what you need. Perhaps the 8th day was already included. Any thoughts?

You most likely have a 7 day ticket. Not a big deal. If you decide you want to add a day to it, you can do it right at the resort's Guest Services/Lobby Concierge. It will only coast you a few dollars to add the eighth day. For some reason, the website hasn't been updated to allow the 8 and 9 day options for tickets but rest assured, you can get it for an eighth day.

Just in case anyone is interested, I purchased 8 day tickets through ticketmania and they were offered cheaper than the 7 day. We will be there 8 days and I was going to buy 7 day tickets and just stay at the resort one of the days. Then I found this ticket option and it was the perfect choice.

Caution: Some packages have a deadline for making changes, including to the MYW tickets that come with the package.

If you purchased the plus pack to go with the passes, you would not need the eighth day on the pass if you visit only plus venues on one of the days you are there.

King Ozymandias of Assyria was running low on cash after years of war with the Hittites. His last great possession was the Star of the Euphrates, the most valuable diamond in the ancient world. Desperate, he went to Crosus the pawnbroker to ask for a loan.
Crosus said, "I'll give you 100,000 dinars for it".
"But I paid a million for it," the King protested. "Do you know who I am?"
Crosus replied, "Yes, your Majesty. When you wish to pawn a star, makes no difference who you are." (Michael R. in Readers Digest, 11/03)

MIL, DIL & BIL are doing the same thing! It's cheaper through that site to buy 8 day tickets, if we didn't already have AP's, that's where I would buy my tickets! It beats the packages, too!

Good news, the cost to add the eighth day to your ticket is $3.21 per ticket. Enjoy!
