I received my new disney visa cards last week and booked a room at the Polynesian using the 7/4 deal. The CM never asked for our card # and said we didn't need to put down a deposit since we already did from a previous ressie using a different card. I got my confirmation in the mail and the code is on the confirmation letter, but I am nervous that it was too "easy" to book this. Everyone on these boards is saying that the CMs had to confirm with bank one and also took the deposit from them. Should I be worried that something is going to happen with my reservations?

I also have to tell you I spoke to 2 different CM's b/c originally we booked the CBR and then changed to the Poly and neither one asked for our card #

Thanks for your help

I had the same concern when booking my package. It wasn't until the CM took my Visa # that she could confirm that I was eligible for the package. The first CM I spoke to was completely incompetent so I hung up and called back in order to speak to someone who knew what they were doing. He told me that in order to be eligible for the 7/4 deal that the entire trip had to be booked with my Visa card including my deposit. The deposit and cancellation terms are a bit different with this deal. So, I would suggest that you call back and confirm everything. Did you put your deposit down using your DV??

I would just call and clarify and confirm everything! Good Luck!

if you have a comf.# letter in your hands i wouldnt worry about it, wdw has to honor your letter, dont forget to bring it with, just in case a cm questions it, but otherwise relax and dont worry have a great vacation

I paid my deposit with another credit card - not the Disney Visa. When I asked the CM if I need to put the deposit on my Disney visa she said no. But I had also heard that the whole trip needed to be put on the Disney visa card. I guess I should call and ask - it is better to be safe than sorry. I don't want my trip to be cancelled for this reason.

When you priced out the 4 days, did you include the 12% tax?

im not sure. i dont have the page open now, but i went on dw website and priced it out with air and got the fianl total that way and it was 200 less than what i got, but my ta said that because another day was added on that the air was more for that one day....

oh well, atleast im going.. and for 7 days. :hyper:

I ended up calling last night and speaking to another CM - she told me what I had thought, that I need to put the whole trip, including the deposit on my disney visa. So she credited my original credit card and put the deposit on my Disney Visa - I feel much better now. I asked her if I would have had a problem if I didn't change the deposit to my disney visa and she said "possibly"

What I don't understand is why the CM from when i first booked this deal said I ddin't need to put the deposit on my disney visa. I asked her specifically and she said it was fine the way we had it. If it wasn't for these boards I could have had a real problem. Thanks again!

I was quoted $1717 for CSR for the 7 for 4 for two adults and two children. I thought this included tax. Maybe I'm wrong. I'm talking to mytravel agent this afternoons so I'll find out.

Remember, it's not 7 days for 4 days, it's 7 NIGHTS (8 days) for 4 nights (5 days). :)

Please let us know what you find out. i think that the 12% tax is what i forgot about...

I was told the same thing the whole trip must be paid for on the Disney card. We are staying at the Poly Concierge. We are so excited. We figured for this deal why not. For 3 adults and one child adding an extra night. We are staying at the pop century the first night since we are arriving in the late afternoon. We are paying 3030.00. I thought this was a great deal. Michelle

Mish,

I noticed you lived in Mt Vernon - we live in Dobbs Ferry, but grew up in Yonkers.

We wanted the Poly concierge LV, but there were no rooms available for our dates so we booked a regular LV. I can't wait! We requsted a balcony and are really hoping we get one b/c we have 3 small children who will be napping in the afternoons and it will be nice to be able to go out to the balcony while they are napping.

We are also booked a stay at the Poly and requested a balcony for the same reason you did.... napping toddler. Anyway, I have been hearing on this board that the first floor patio is also nice with kids. I keep envisioning my toddler running all over the property with me chasing him ( at least a balcony would keep him contained) but a first floor room would certainly be convenient to the pool and beach. We have never stayed at the Poly and was wondering if you or anyone out there has any thoughts about this. THANK YOU!:wave2:

Last year we had a balcony and loved it. DD4 and DD18mos would nap and go down for the night and we would go out on the balcony and have some adult time and conversation, as well as a glass of wine or two. It was great. I am going to ask for a third floor room, unless there is no view of the castle (DD5 is totally obsessed) then I ask for a patio. See you in the lounge!!!!

We live so close to each other. I work in White Plains and Yonkers. I am sure you are going to enjoy the Poly. Is this your first time there? We were there two years ago and loved it. We are so excited to be able to stay there again. Last time we were able to stay there because the Caribbean beach was closed so they let us upgrade for a small fee. This time the deal was too good. We are spoiled, nothing like hopping on the monorail. Enjoy. Michelle

Mish, not only is this our first time at the Poly, but it is our first time at Disneyworld! We are sooooooo looking forward to it. We will be celebrating our 10th anniversary while there so it will even be more "magical"

Trish, My husband wants the balcony b/c he thinks the view would be much better from there. Part of me would rather have the patio for the convenience with the kids (mine are 6, 3, and 1). But as long as I get something (balcony or patio) I will be happy.

You are going to have such a great time. The poly is such a great place. They are great with the kids and have activities for them to do. Two years ago when we went there we were doing an activity and talking to the CM, my ds told her it was his birthday, we were celebrating his 4th birthday there and that night when we got back to the room there was a birthday cake and balloons for him. He was so excited. Our Mousekeeper left towel animals every night. When are you going? You have to let me know when you get back how much you enjoyed it. Michelle

We will be going July3-July11. When we made our reservations my husband mentioed that it was our anniversary and it is noted on our confrimation letter. I will definitely let you know how our trip was!!!!:D
