Hello all,

Planning WDW trip for above dates and was wondering if anyone had any feedback for that time of year. Will be traveling with wife and two kids (3&8). These dates were not my first choice but with son's school and extracurricular schedule, my preference of May will not be possibe. Was last there for millenium
in October of '99. Stayed at Caribbean and planning to stay there again. Thanks in advance for feedback and opinions.

I have been there at that time of year with no problems. CBR has probably changed a little since you were there. You will have a great time.

We were at WDW July 3-11 this year, and are planning about the same dates for next year. We go each visit during the July 4th week.

It is a great time to go!! A little more crowded around the 4th itself, but a real holiday atmosphere! The weather is hot and humid, with those afternoon showers to cool things off. Though I must say, the last several years, it's been cooler in WDW than back home in NJ when we are there.

Just make sure you make your PS ahead of time, and you won't have any trouble getting the restaurants you want. Have fun!!:D

July 4th-11th.

Hi macnodos,
Those are the exact dates we were there this past summer and would go the same time without hesitation. Yes, it is hot and crowded, but everything is open later and the crowds do thin out. The spectacular fireworks celebrating the 4th at Epcot right after Illuminations are well worth being there on that date. And the crowds were not all that bad. As cindala mentioned, it was hot in NJ also and the local beaches were very crowded, so conditions at WDW were no suprise. We had a blast. Our trip report will show up soon, albeit a bit late. Bob

We were there the 1st to the 11th this year!

As others have said it is HOT and can be crowded. Although I noticed 2 days after the 4th, the crowds were less.

The fireworks are awesome and you children will love them.

I hope you have a ball!

Just start early then after lunch go back to CBR to rest (heat will zap your energy) Then return to Parks later... your children will love the extra pool time.:bounce:
