Anyone looking to share an Illuminations Cruise during <b>July</b>? If you have reserved an Illuminations Cruise and are willing to share, please post your date here. Perhaps we can coordinate this and help each other out.

When you post your reply, use the subject box to tell whether you <b>need</b> space (and how many you need) on a cruise or if you <b>have</b> space available and <b>include the dates</b>. I think that might make it a little easier to coordinate a match.

Even with the new changes, you can still get an Illuminations Cruise

There have been some changes made in the Illuminations Cruises. First, they are no longer called Illuminations Cruises, all of the fireworks cruises at WDW are known as "Specialty Cruises" because they cannot guarantee that you will see Illuminations.

There are also daytime "Specialty" cruises. They are booked at two hour intervals beginning at 12 noon. In order to have a chance to see Illuminations, you will need to call 407-WDW-PLAY 90 days in advance and request the 8:00 PM cruise, telling them that you hope to see Illuminations (or the Magic Kingdom fireworks). They will then schedule your cruise for 1/2 hour prior to the beginning of Illuminations.

Why can't they guarantee that you will see Illuminations? These cruises last 45 minutes, only. If, for some reason, Illuminations is delayed, your boat will still return to the marina when 45 minutes have passed, whether or not Illuminations has finished.

So, who has a cruise to share in <b>July</b>?

I know its too early to book the 2nd or 3rd of July but I have not been able to get them all week. Really close but nada so far.

Looking for Illuminations cruise for 4: Me, DW, DD8 and DD7.

If any DISer manges to get a boat and has room, please let me know.

Ok No luck again this morning.

Even with losing an additional hour of sleep, by 7:02 disney time (6:02 local time) the pontoons were full for illuminations.

I started calling at 5:57 and hit re-dial as soon as I heard the "Thank-you." It picked up just as the time hit the top of the hour. I quickly hit 4 2 1 2 and got into the queue and was talking to a rep. By the time I could say 8Pm specialty cruise epcot 7//3 she said all full.

Maybe disney should add another boat or two. Maybe I'm just cranky from getting up so early so many days for nothing.

I just hope that whoever got the boats this morning is a DIS member with a few seats to spare.

I too tried unsuccessfully this morning. I have gone ahead and reserved the Wishes cruise leaving from the Grand Floridian. If anyone is interested in sharing, please advise. We are booked for Saturday, July 3, 2004. She said to call back for the time after July hours are posted.

If I cannot fill this thing up, I will have to cancel. I would still be interested in sharing an illuminations with anyone. We have four in our party, with one being a child - age 9.

I called today, my first day trying, for the 6th of July. I got through right away at the stroke of 7, but I was using my cell phone (free long distance) and the CM couldn't hear me!!
She kept saying hello, hello, and I was shouting like a mad woman ILLUMINATIONS CRUISE!! I would've gotten it, I just know it, if I didn't have such bum luck with that cell phone! I hung up and called back, but of course I was in the queue this time, so I just hung up.
Tomorrow I'm not going to be so cheap and I'll use the house phone.
I got Cindy's on my second day of trying, so maybe 2 is my lucky Disney number!

I tried again this morning. Bad luck again.

I redialed several times, and then I got two messages AT THE SAME TIME! The closed message and the open message were both playing! I must have gotten through at the precise second they were switching over to open. I quickly hung up, redialed, and then I was queued. So I lost again.

Tomorrow is another day! I'm feeling lucky!

It's just 3 of us, me, DS12 and DS18. So if we get a boat, we'll be happy to share!

I can't believe it, but I got an Illuminations cruise this morning! I redialed like a madwoman right before 7, got into a queue and almost hung up because I thought the queue means it's too late, but then a CM answered. I quickly said "8 PM Illuminations Ctuise", and he said, "how many in your party?" He continued to ask for my information, and I was looking at my husband next to me as if "can this be it??" I asked the CM, "did we get the boat?" and he said yes he's booking it right now.
I'm in shock!
